"Impelled, increased, or "made vast" by his seven mothers, [the Divine] Son, Agni as the 9-rayed Horse/Sage, passes through TEN months of the Zodiac, arriving at his goal (=Kumbha/Jar, reservoir, the gods' banquet, assembly, etc.). In several hymns the Vedic Son/Sage is said to be beautified, purified, or whitened by his seven rivers (=songs, drops, thoughts, floods, etc.) and by "ten fingers", equivalent to the ten months of his gestation." – “The Sacred Geometry & Vedic Origin of the Alchemical Rebis and Philosopher's Stone”, 13 September 2023

Since October of 2016 I have been discussing the forgotten geometric and zodiacal sense of the Rig Veda and its central theme – the Apocalypse or unveiling of the FLOOD-born Divine Son-Sage (aka Agni) from which arose our world’s post-Vedic fractured religious misconceptions of the Apocalypse and its signs and symbols. In my ongoing 2022-2024 series “The Spherical Gnosis of the Sage and the Release of the Vedic Waters” I have been discussing humanity’s long-standing ignorance of the original context of the Vedic Apocalypse or Flood and how this ignorance must be and is being conquered in our Age of Aquarius/Kumbha. Parts Six and Seven of that series were respectively subtitled: “The Divine Son & the Ancient Apocalypse” (15 July 2023) and “The Apocalyptic Flood of the Divine Son and his Aquarian Kumbha” (20 January 2024).

In Geometric Keys of Vedic Wisdom (book and blog) I have been illustrating how the SEVEN rivers (aka floods) and TEN months which give birth to Vedic Son Agni, measure out one singular place in the Zodiac: 0° Aquarius/Kumbha (0° ). Thus the date of 7.10 or 10.7 of Hamas’s Operation Al Aqsa Flood attack, whichever way it is written, contains the numbers, markers, or measures of the Vedic Son’s apocalyptic flood and victory over ignorance and evil in the world.

The Seven Rivers (Vesica Piscis) and Ten Months of the Divine Sage/Son (Lori Tompkins)

“Ten sisters, pouring out the rain (=the seven rivers/floods) together, swift-moving thinkers of the sage, adorn him. Hither hath run the gold-hued Child of Surya and reached the vat [=the kumbha or jar] like a fleet vigorous courser." – Rig Veda 9.93.1, tr. RTH Griffith

[More verses highlighting the 7 and 10 power of the Vedic apocalypse are featured in the section titled “The seven and tenfold measure of Agni’s birth in the Rig Veda” towards the end of this article.]

Given what has been revealed since October 2016 regarding the geometric, zodiacal, and cohesive sense of the seven rivers and the ten months they measure out, I see Hamas’s “FLOOD” of violence against Israel on a 7th day of the 10th month of the 7-powered year of 2023 [1], in the 7th zodiacal sign of Libra, 7-years after the October 2016 revelations about geometric and zodiacal sense of the Vedic Flood, as a powerful supramental synchronicity and multidimensional symbol. This synchronicity and multidimensional symbol encompasses the elaborate mythology of the Vedic and post-Vedic Biblical Apocalypse, Islamic mythology, numerology, sacred geometry, astrology, and geo-cosmology. It also underscores the present-day dire consequences of humanity’s long standing ignorance of the zodiacal and geometric sense of the heavily veiled or long occulted symbols of the Vedic and post-Vedic Apocalypse. It simultaneously underscores the importance of Sri Aurobindo’s avataric descent and yoga by which the occult veil or coverer (Vritra) of the Vedas was conquered and cast off, allowing the Flood of Vedic Waters to be released from their Kumbha by the Vedic Sage-Son in 2016, 90 years (and 9 months) into our current Age of Aquarius/Kumbha.

The multidimensional supramental synchronicity of Hamas’ “Al Aqsa Flood” attack comes into clearer focus when we see that Hamas’s 7.10 “Flood” fell on the 280th day of 2023, positioning it precisely at the 7 Point (10° into the 10th month of Capricorn) of the Gregorian year. This measure applies if we adhere to the ancient equivalence of 1 day equals 1° of the 360° year and leave the last 5 days of 2023 “outside the calendar”. [2] This astounding synchronicity becomes even more clear when we see that Israel’s subsequent 27 October invasion of Gaza, 20 days after 7.10, fell precisely at 0° Aquarius, the gathering place and the Kumbha or reservoir (samudra) of the seven Vedic rivers or floods. Note that 7 October and 27 October respectively mark the 7 Point and 0° Aquarius of any non-leap year.

The 7 and 10 Powers of Hamas' 7.10.2023 Operation Al Aqsa Flood and Israel's Response (Lori Tompkins, 2024)

Before I go any further into this subject I want to emphasize, as concisely as possible, that I am not writing to support or justify any side of the war between Muslim Palestinians and Jewish Israelis. When I look at world events, no matter how painful and no matter who or what is sacrificed along the evolutionary path, I try to look beyond the binary tensions and reactions of the mental consciousness that created the mess in the first place, and look with an eye that is open to seeing the “perfection in detail” that is the signature of the supramental or divine consciousness-force. [See: Addendum 1] As discussed by Sri Aurobindo and his line, this supramental consciousness-force lies hidden in all of creation and organizes its own progressive victories over humanity’s self-destructive fragmented binary-mental consciousness that is currently holding the world and its creatures hostage to its own ignorance, in a real sense. Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet (Thea)—the “Third” of Sri Aurobindo’s avataric line—equated the awakening, birth, or ascent of this hidden consciousness-force in our world, in our Age of Aquarius, to the apocalyptic birth and flood of the Vedic Sage-Son.

The Flower of Life, Satkona, and Descending Air Trine (Lori Tompkins, 2024)
Above I have illustrated the Gregorian Year of 2023, with the twelve zodiacal signs and the 0-9 numbers of our ancient number system, measured out as per Thea’s Gnostic Circle, which she recognized as the underlying numeric, geometric, and zodiacal structure of the 360° Year — whether it be the Earth’s Solar-Tropical Year, the Gregorian Year or larger cycles of time such as the 12-Age Great Year or the Maha Yuga cycle. The zodiacal sacred geometry of the seventh river or FLOOD is illustrated in blue, rising from the seventh sign of Libra. It is this seventh of the seven Vedic rivers or floods (=vesicae piscium = mothers, goddesses, sisters, virgins, vials, drops, dawns, thoughts, hymns, etc.) that finally and victoriously delivers the Vedic Son (=the Sage of Sagittarius) through ten full months of the Zodiac, to his heavenly Kumbha, goal, seat, or divine gathering place, called by many names by the Vedic Rishis. In Rig Veda 7.36.6 this seventh river is named “Saraswati”.

Note that Thea’s role in Sri Aurobindo’s supramental descent and his yogic mission of restoring the lost cohesive sense of the Rig Veda, included recognizing the long-forgotten zodiacal basis of the Rig Veda and its symbolic lore. [See Thea’s “Movement for the Restoration of Vedic Wisdom Manifesto”, May 2006.] She saw, understood, and wrote about the Kumbha of the Rig Veda as a symbol of Aquarius. However, regardless of the many zodiacal secrets and the forgotten sense of Vedic and post-Vedic symbols that she did recover via her yoga and writing, she did not see, understand, or discuss the geometric sense of Agni’s seven rivers. She saw the zodiacal location of the pouring out of the seven rivers and the culmination of Agni’s victorious birth as the 7 Point of the Year (10° Capricorn). The revelation of the geometric sense of Agni’s seven rivers and thus the 0° Aquarius zodiacal location of his birth and of the pouring out of his flood, was essentially downloaded into my consciousness on 2 October 2016, seven days before Thea’s passing. Before that day, as far as I can tell, the occult sense, sacred 432,000" measure, eternal law, and key of the purifying Vedic rivers was entirely hidden from view, for several millennia.

The Star of David flag of the First Zionist Congress (1897) and of Israel (1948)
In the illustration of the year above, I have included the sacred geometry of the Satkona, known as the Star or Shield of David in Jewish tradition, associated with the signet ring of the Israelite king Solomon and its seal – the “Seal of Solomon”. This ancient symbol—consisting of interlaced ascending and descending equilateral triangles that fit perfectly within a subtle hexagon and a subtle circle as well—was adopted as a symbol of Jewish identity in the 1800’s. It became a symbol of Jewish Zionism when featured on the flag of the First Zionist Congress (the upper flag to the right) in the 7 Power year of 1897. On 28 October 1948, eleven months after the adoption of the United Nations Resolution 181 (II) recommending the partition of Palestine into two states, the state of Israel adopted a modified version of the Zionist flag, leaving out the conquering Lion of Judah and the seven small six-pointed stars. Note that 0° Leo (the Lion)—opposite 0° Aquarius—is measured out by the first vesica piscis (“river”) of the Zodiac. This river arcs and flows from 0° Aries to 0° Leo, measuring out and establishing the bottom-left angle of the ascending triangle of the Satkona. This point in the Zodiac is equivalent to 432,000 seconds of degrees of the 360° circle (120° x 60' x 60" = 432,000"). Thus the golden Lion of the Zodiac and, likewise the Lion of Judah, can be recognized as an ancient symbol of the sacred measure and eternal law (sanatana dharma) of the Zodiac. This golden or sun-colored Lion of the Zodiac carries in itself the 432,000 measure of the Sun, the 432,000 measure of the Rig Veda, and the 432,000 measure of the Kali Yuga. [3]
In the Vedas, the Lion is one of the many symbolic names of the Divine Son (=radius) of the zodiacal year who is born (at 0° Aquarius) as the "Son of Waters" or "Floods' Child", via his seven floods, rivers, waters, or streams.

"[Agni] like a horse is led forth to the [place of] sacrifice Sage…. Agni, circling all.… [H]im the Sage of men, the people's Lord…. [B]orn as a Lion or a loudly-bellowing Bull: Vaisvanara immortal with wide-reaching might…. [Agni] Vaiśvānara, as of old, mounted the cope of heaven, heaven's ridge.... As pure and swift of course, beholder of the light, who stands in heaven's bright sphere a sign, who wakes at dawn, Agni, the head of heaven...." – Rig Veda 3.2 excerpts, tr. RTH Griffith

"We as thy friends have chosen thee, mortals a God, to be our help, the Waters' Child, the blessed, the resplendent One, victorious and beyond compare. Since thou...hast gone unto thy mother streams, Not to be scorned, Agni, is that return of thine when from afar thou now art here....Him who had passed beyond his foes, beyond continual pursuits, him the unerring Ones, observant, found in floods, couched like a lion in his lair. Him wandering at his own free will, Agni here hidden from our view...." – Rig Veda 3.9.1-4 excerpts, tr. RTH Griffith [Bold emphasis added]

The Lion and Sun Emblem of the Iranian Flag, cropped (1907-1979)
The victorious and apocalyptic birth of this Vedic Divine Son, — depicted variously as a Horse, a Lion, a Bull, an Eagle, etc. — is equated to the rising of the Sun (i.e. Dawn), and to the recovery of the Sun, lost or hiding in the darkness of night. This zodiacal Vedic victory is portrayed, however unrecognized, in the "Lion and Sun" emblem of the Iranian flag as adopted on 7 October (7.10) 1907 (= 1 + 9 + 0 + 7 = 10 + 7), 116 years before Hamas's "Al Aqsa Flood" attack, and was abandoned approximately 72 years later, on 11 February 1979 in the month of Aquarius. I will discuss the history and the geometry of the Persian-Iranian Lion and Sun symbol and how its original zodiacal, Vedic, and Mithraic context was cast aside in Islamic ideology, later in this series. It is worth stating here that the biblical Lion of Judah of the Jewish flag and the Lion of the pre-1980 Iranian flag, can be separated from the Lion of the Vedas and of the Zodiac, and from each other, only via the ignorance of the fragmented human consciousness. In the realm of Unity-Consciousness they symbolize the same ancient zodiacal Vedic eternal law and measure that is a central key of conquering and uplifting humanity's fragmented consciousness in the Age of Aquarius.

The ascending and descending Fire and Air Trines of the Star of David/Satkona, with the 6th angle, 0 Aquarius, measured out by the Vedic Sage-Son-Horse (Lori Tompkins)
What I want to emphasis via the large illustration of the year above and in the small image to the right, is that the sixth and last point of the Satkona corresponds to 0° Aquarius (opposite 0° Leo) and thus to the zodiacal location of the sevenfold apocalyptic birth and flood of the Divine Son-Sage of the Rig Veda. Below I have illustrated the subtle six-vesicae-piscium “Flower of Life” that is the geometric basis of the Satkona, as established and drawn out by the radius (=Son) of the circle and its measured path through the circle.

This eternal law (sanatana dharma) and six-fold measure of the radius and its zodiacal “Circle of Life”, as well as its three-fold measure, is poetically described in Rig Veda 6.47:

This Sage hath measured out the six expanses from which no single creature is excluded. This, even this, is he who hath created the breadth of earth, the lofty height of heaven. He formed the nectar in three headlong rivers. Soma supports the wide mid-air above us. He found the wavy sea [=Reservoir=Kumbha] of brilliant colours in forefront of the Dawns [=seven rivers] who dwell in brightness. This Mighty One, the Steer begirt by Maruts, hath propped the heavens up with a mighty pillar [skambha]. Drink Soma boldly from the beaker [=kumbha], Indra, in war for treasures, Hero, Vrtra-slayer!…. Like rivers rushing down a slope, O Indra, to thee haste songs and prayers and linked verses. Thou gatherest, Thunderer! like widespread bounty, kine, water, drops, and manifold libations… The Hero slew the meanly-huckstering [enemies], where the waters gather [=the Kumbha].” – Rig Veda 6.47 excerpts, tr. RTH Griffith [Text in brackets and all emphasis is mine]

It is important to note here that on the 7 power day of 6 December 2023 [4] Israel's military reportedly threw the symbol of the Flood back in Hamas’s face by dropping leaflets in southern Gaza featuring two “Star of David” symbols and an excerpt from the Quran (29:14), referring to the biblical Flood of Noah (Genesis 6:13-17) that kills wrongdoers. The English translation of the excerpt reads, “Then the Flood overtook them, while they persisted in wrongdoing.” [5]

The Divine Son (=Agni, Murugan, Kartikeya, Kumara, etc.) in the Satkona/Star of David
In post-Vedic Indian culture the Satkona is associated with Goloka – the abode of Vishnu's avatar Krishna and his cows. The Satkona is also associated with the birth of Shiva's son Kartikeya (aka Kumara, Murugan, Subrahmanya, etc.) who is said to be six-headed, six faced, or six-mouthed (Shanmukha). Thea discussed Kartikeya, by whatever name, as being equivalent to the purified (whitened) Vedic Sage-Son-Horse who conquers Ignorance via his sevenfold ascension, birth, and flood. She also discussed Vishnu’s tenth avatar Kalki as another name of this conquering Vedic Sage-Son, who has inspired all post-Vedic mythologies of the world-saving Divine Son and his prophesied apocalypse, day of truth, or divine reckoning by whatever name.

With all of this in mind, we can see and understand that the disastrous apocalyptic messianism of the Abrahamic religions, hails from a profound misunderstanding of the zodiacal and geometric symbolism of the Rig Veda, its Divine Son, his sevenfold flood, and his birth at the entrance into Aquarius (Kumbha). It bears noting that Aquarius—the last and highest of the three Air signs—is the only sign of the Zodiac that is widely associated with the pouring out of waters from a vessel, and also with the universalization and harmonization of human consciousness and of humanity (=the MAN of the Zodiac) via higher wisdom. The waters of the Vedas are specifically characterized as heavenly waters of wisdom that illuminate Man.

“The gods pour the fullness of these waters, especially the upper waters, the waters of heaven, the streams of the Truth, ṛtasya dhārāḥ, across all obstacles into the human consciousness….

"The all-gods increase man, they uphold him in the great work, they bring him the abundance of the waters of Swar, the streams of the Truth, they communicate the unassailably integral and pervading action of the Truth-consciousness with its wide formations of knowledge, māyāḥ.” – Sri Aurobindo, The Secret of the Veda, CWSA, Vol. 15, pp. 88-89

In my research, I came across the following illustration of the joining of the ascending and descending triangles and the creation of the Divine Son, Murugan:

Ascending and Descending Triangles (Shiva and Shakti), forming the Satkona of the Divine Son (Kumara, Agni, Skanda, Kartikeya, etc.))

The image above was followed by the text: “The six-pointed star or Hexagram is one of the oldest universal symbols that goes all the way back to ancient India being known as the 'Shatkona' which represents the union of the masculine and feminine energies of the soul. This unification "gives birth" to Murugan aka Krishna, Skanda, Kartikeya or Sanat Kumara: being a complete androgynous representation of the Magnum Opus, or what's known as 'godhead.' He was sometimes depicted having six heads….”  [Bold emphasis added. Link to the full image]

What is left out of this and the broader Hindu understanding of the connection between the Son-Conqueror (Murugan, Kartikeya, Skanda, Agni, or Salvator Mundi by whatever name) and the Satkona, is the understanding of HOW this connection fits perfectly and cohesively with the seven-river birth and victory of the Vedic Son-Conqueror at the sixth and final point of the Satkona—0° Aquarius/Kumbha. This understanding only comes when we see WHAT these rivers and their hidden Son really are, in terms of the veiled zodiacal geometry of the Vedas.

In her book The Hidden Manna (1976) Thea discussed the symbolism of St. John’s Revelation (aka Apocalypse) as a prophecy of Sri Aurobindo’s avataric yoga and descent in Vishnu’s preservation Age of Aquarius. Therein, she equated the “Star of David” to the “Root of David”.

“And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” – Revelation 5:5 (KJV)

Her commentary on this verse is as follows:

“[I]t is one born in the sign of the Lion who will commence the loosening of the seals, one who bears the symbol which at times has been called 'the star of David' ('root of David'), but which is a symbol that is not at all confined to the followers of one sect or the members of one particular race; it is a symbol belonging to all the brotherhoods of true knowledge.

“In this instance John reveals that this is the one who will give forth the knowledge that is hidden, and must remain so for those who cannot see, who are capable 'neither to look thereon', or as another translation would have it, 'to open the scroll or to look into it'.

“The elder who represents the sign of the Lion, announces the initiation; and not only is it a revelation of the actual month of birth of a messenger who will accomplish this task, but it is at the same time the point in the wheel of the ages from where the establishment of the Age of Truth commences – Leo, the sign which is the house of the Sun. The bearer of the symbol of the root of David is to commence the opening of the Seals.” – The Hidden Manna, pp. 63-64 [Bold emphasis added]

As any who are familiar with Thea’s teachings know, she was referring to Sri Aurobindo—born on 15 August 1872—as the “one born in the sign of the Lion who will commence the loosening of the seals”,  bearing the Star of David symbol.

Sri Aurobindo's Satkona symbol with the Lotus of the Avatar floating on Seven Waves (before and after 1964)

According to Nolini Gupta, before they met in person in 1914, the Mother sent Sri Aurobindo a diagram of the Satkona as a test to determine whether or not he was the Avatar (who identified himself to her as Krishna) who was already present in her consciousness. I do not know the details of how he responded but he of course passed this test and the Mother recognize him as the "Great Soul" with whom she was to work. Thus the Satkona was a central seed and symbol of their avataric supramental yoga and mission.

Via his avataric yoga and work towards recovering the true sense of the Vedic symbols, lore, and sanatana dharma, Sri Aurobindo did indeed loosen the seven seals of the ancient book of the Vedas, which allowed for the release of the geometric and zodiacal sense of the seven rivers (floods, mothers, etc.) of the Vedas in 2016, 144 years after his birth. The core of Sri Aurobindo’s Satkona is Vishnu’s Lotus (aka “the Lotus of the Avatar”), resting upon seven waves, positioned within a square symbolizing the establishment and rise of the all-unifying supramental truth-consciousness on Earth. Thus we can see and understand Sri Aurobindo’s Satkona symbol as a symbol of the sevenfold apocalyptic Vedic Flood, its Divine Son, and its sacred geometry.

Vishnu's Matsya Avatar (the Fish) saving Manu and the Seven Rishis and the Vedas
In the post-Vedic Hindu version of the ancient Flood mythology, Vishnu the Preserver’s first avatar—Matsya (the Fish)—instructed Manu to build a boat in order to survive the great Flood and to preserve seeds, animals, Manu's family, the Vedas, and the Seven Rishis of the Vedas.

A central precursor for the October 2016 descent of the vesica piscis as a key of the sevenfold Vedic Flood and its various post-Vedic expressions and misunderstandings, was coming to see and understand Vishnu’s Fish Avatar as an occult symbol of the Vesica Piscis, aka the “Vessel of the Fish”, and his second avatar—Kurma (the Turtle) as a symbol of the four cardinal point radii of the Tropical Year and their four vesicae piscium that measure out the 12 months of the Zodiac. [6]

Manu’s Flood is just one of the many varied post-Vedic mythologies that have their origins in the Vedic and likely pre-Vedic mythology of the sevenfold FLOOD of the Divine Son of the Vedas, by which he destroys the wicked of the world and all obstructions to the establishment of the unifying Divine Truth-Consciousness in humanity and thus on Earth. In Part Two of this series, I will discuss the Islamic version of this mythology in relation to Operation Al Aqsa Flood.

It is important to stress that the FLOOD of the Vedic Sage-Son, Seer, or Prophet (Kavi) by whatever name, is a FLOOD of divine wisdom, eternal law (sanatana dharma), and divine measure (maya) that shatters the veil or cover of binary, mental-egoic Ignorance, and frees and reintegrates the fragmented and grossly misunderstood symbols and treasures of the spherically-minded ancient seers that have long eluded humanity’s grasp.  It is not a flood of violence, blood, or even actual water. The Divine Sage-Son of the Vedas conquers demons and “wrongdoers” via his self-born unifying solar essence, divine wisdom, light, truth, eternal law, and sacred measure (maya).

"The seven rivers or movements...descend from the superconscient being and fill the conscious ocean of our existence. They are called the Mothers, the fostering Cows, the Mighty Ones of Heaven, the Waters of Knowledge, the streams of the Truth, etc." – Sri Aurobindo, The Secret of the Veda, CWSA, Vol. 15, p. 421

"[The seven rivers], ghṛtasya dhārāh, are there not rivers of clarified butter or rivers of physical water, but psychological symbols...." – Ibid., p. 108

"These are...not the waters of the Punjab, but the rivers of Heaven, the streams of the Truth, goddesses like Saraswati, who possess the Truth in knowledge and open by it the doors of the beatitude to the human creature." – Ibid., p. 201

It remains to be recognized by Indians, Vedic scholars, and the rest of humanity, that the eternal heavenly rivers, floods, vehicles, paths, steps, vials, etc., of the immortal Divine Sage-Son are naturally the eternal forms that he himself—the radius, pillar or skambha of the 360° zodiacal Vedic Yajna (Year) in geometric terms—creates via his own eternal law and divine measure.

The Seven and Tenfold Measure of Agni’s Birth in the Rig Veda

On 13 September 2023, 24 days before the 7.10 attack, I published Part One of “The Sacred Geometry & Vedic Origin of the Alchemical Rebis and Philosopher's Stone”, wherein I discussed the seven and tenfold measure of Agni’s birth, including translations of several Vedic verses that laud both of these measures. Some of the quotes I presented to demonstrate the Rishis occult gnosis of the seven and tenfold measure of Agni’s gestation were as follows:

"Ten fingers groom you [Agni-the Sage-Son]; seven insightful thoughts propel you...." – Rig Veda 9.8.4, tr. Jamison & Brereton

*

"Ten [fingers] on the fleecy height, themselves, self-prompted, and seven fresh rivers, brighten and adorn thee [Agni]." – Rig Veda 9.92.4, tr. RTH Griffith

*

"[T]he fingers ten and the seven songs make [Agni] beautiful...." – Rig Veda 9.15.8, tr. RTH Griffith

*

"I lay upon the [seven] Floods your hymn, lightwinning, wherewith Navagvas [the 9-rayed] their ten months completed. Through this our hymn may we have Gods to guard us: through this our hymn pass safe beyond affliction." – Rig Veda 5.45.11, tr. RTH Griffith [Bold emphasis added]

Sri Aurobindo translated and discussed Rig Veda 5.45.11 at some length in The Secret of the Veda:

“I hold for you in the waters (i.e., the seven Rivers) the thought that wins possession of heaven (this is once more the seven-headed thought born from the Truth and found by Ayasya), by which the Navagwas [=nine-rayed] passed through the ten months; by this thought may we have the gods for protectors, by this thought may we pass through beyond the evil....

"The expression in the hymn, daśa māso ataran, indicates that there was some difficulty in getting through the full period of ten months. It is during this period apparently that the sons of darkness had the power to assail the sacrifice; for it is indicated that it is only by the confirming of the thought which conquers Swar, the solar world, that the Rishis are able to get through the ten months, but this thought once found they become assured of the protection of the gods and pass beyond the assault of the evil, the harms of the Panis and Vritras. This Swar-conquering thought is certainly the same as that seven-headed thought which was born from the Truth and discovered by Ayasya the companion of the Navagwas." – The Secret of the Veda, CWSA, Vol. 15, pp. 175-76 [Bold emphasis and text in brackets added]

In Rig Veda 8.72, the ancient Rishi specifically connected the measure of Agni’s seven-mother, and ten-month birth to the Water Jar of the Zodiac.

“And now that great and mighty team, the team of [seven] horses that are [Agni’s mothers], and traces of his [vehicle], are seen. The seven milk a single cow…. Entreated by Vivasvān's ten [months], Indra cast down the water-jar [koṣa] with threefold hammer from the sky…. With reverence they [=the priests of the sacrifice] drain the fount that circles with its wheel above, exhaustless, with the mouth below. The pressing-stones are set at work: the meath is poured into the tank, at the out-shedding of the fount. Ye cows, protect the fount…. The handles twain are wrought of gold…. The Pious One milked out rich food, sustenance dealt in portions seven, together with the Sun's seven rays [=cows=rivers=floods, etc.]. I took some Soma when the Sun rose up… That is the sick man's medicine. From where oblations must be laid, which is the Well-beloved's home, He with his tongue hath compassed heaven.” – tr. RTH Griffith [Text in brackets and bold emphasis are mine.]

The text in bold above and below are all symbols of Agni’s Kumbha, home, or goal by whatever name, that he arrives at via his seven rivers, horses, cows, etc. Sri Aurobindo translated the same as:

“And now is the great and vast yoking as if of the Horse, the rope of the chariot is seen. Seven milk the one…. By the ten of the sun Indra made fall the covering sheath [koṣa] [7] of heaven with his triple mallet…. With surrender they pour out the inexhaustible pervading well whose wheel is on high and its opening below. Close by are the stones and the honey-wine is poured in the lotus in the discharging of the well. O Ray-Cows, come to the well; here is the great wine-jar of the sacrifice, here are both the golden handles. Pour into the wine that is pressed, a joining splendour, the glory of earth and heaven; by the juice of the wine sustain the Bull [Agni/Vishnu]. They [the cows=rivers] know their own home... The warrior milked out the seven-planed nourishing force and energy by the seven rays of the sun…. [In] the rising of [Agni] he received it [Soma Wine] on the sun; it is the healing draught for him who suffers.”

End of Part One

Author's note: In early September, 2024 I re-edited this article and added the paragraph, quotes, and images regarding the Lion in the Rig Veda and regarding the Persian (Iranian) Lion and Sun symbol. I also added the paragraph about the Satkona as a seed-symbol of Sri Aurobindo's and the Mother's work, and the Sri Aurobindo quotes regarding the seven rivers.

Endnotes:

[1] 2023 = 2 + 0 + 2 + 3 = 7.

[2] On the topic of 5 days outside the calendar, Thea wrote: “Most ancient traditions have stressed in their cosmologies and calendars the importance of these five days, which have been considered by them to be 'outside the calendar'. Thus a special significance was attributed to these days in the various religions and ritualistic practices of old. We find this to have been the case not only in the Mediterranean area but also in Mayan and Incan America, which seems to have been cut off from any contact with Europe and the Middle and Far East. Nonetheless there too it is found that five days of the year were special and were left out of the count of the solar year wheel of 360° or 360 days. This aligned the year perfectly with the celestial sphere and facilitated the formulation of an orderly structure of the cosmos as seen from Earth.” – Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet, The New Way, Vols. 1&2, p. 217
