The Geometric Keys of the Rig Veda - Hidden in Plain Sight in the Sacred Geometry of India’s Old and New Parliament Buildings

The Sacred Geometry & Vesica Piscis of India's Old and New Parliament (Lori Tompkins 29 May 2023)

On 28 May 2023 India's new parliament building, built adjacent to the old parliament building, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi, amidst protests by opposition parties who thought India's President Murmu should have presided over the event. What draws my attention is not the political or binary skirmishes surrounding the inauguration of the new parliament, but the sacred geometry of both buildings and the surrounding paths and grounds.

The new parliament's architect Bimal Patel, explained to the press, "The new Parliament building is designed in a triangular shape, since it sits on a triangular plot and has three main spaces ‒ Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and a Central Lounge. Also, triangles are sacred geometries in various religions and cultures of the country." He also said that "the architecture of the new building is in harmony with the present building so that both buildings complement each other". ["New Parliament: Triangular shape reflects sacred geometry in various religions", Economic Times, PTI, 10 December 2020.]

The Old and New Parliament Buildings - CentralVista.gov.in

When I first looked at the map of the old and new parliament grounds on www.centralvista.gov.in shown above, I was curious to say the least, to see that the plots of land upon which the old and new parliament buildings sit were abutting equilateral triangles, together forming a diamond shape or rhombus whose acute and obtuse angles are respectively 60° and 120° (= 216,000 and 432,000 seconds of arc). I could see that a subtle vesica piscis holds the adjoining triangular parliament plots ‒ old and new ‒ in its sacred "womb", as shown in the opening image of this post. I consider this sacred geometry to be significant in relation to what I began to learn and write about in 2016 regarding the vesica piscis being a crucial and heretofore lost key by which Vishnu's Avatars preserve and restore the Eternal Law (Sanatana Dharma) of the Vedic Rishis, and likewise a crucial key of understanding the occult symbols and 432,000 measure of the Rig Veda and the 432,000 measure of the Kali Yuga.

As discussed in Geometric Keys of Vedic Wisdom (book and blog), the Vedic Rishis referred to and disguised the eternal (432,000") arc and form of the vesica piscis within the circle of the zodiacal year in many ways, including but not limited to: a river, stream, fountain, flood, mother, sister, cow, mare, bowl, cup, flask, vessel (kumbha), reservoir, stone, drop, sacred food or drink (somaamrita, honey, ghee, etc.), cave, well, hill, mountain, treasure, song, hymn, word, voice, syllable (vak), robe, armor, weapon, path, leaves or branches of a tree, etc., etc. This wide variation of characterization of the vesica piscis is entirely in keeping with the "many names" given to the Divine Son/One (=the radius) throughout the Vedic hymns. Once we possess and apply these geometric and zodiacal keys, the long-veiled symbols and lore of the Rig Veda (and all related pre-Vedic, post-Vedic symbols, sacred texts and mythologies) become increasingly transparent, including the lore of seven rivers giving birth to the conquering Divine Son/Sage/Horse Agni Soma Pavamana (aka "the Child of the Waters") by which he travels to the Heavenly Jar or Kumbha.

The 432,000 measure of the Vesica Piscis, and the Seven Rivers of the Vedas (Lori Tompkins 2022)

Thus, I find it quite amazing to see that India's two parliament buildings, new and old, are nested within the eternal law and form of the vesica piscis. And to boot, the arrangement of the two triangular plots forms in their meeting the indwelling radius of the vesica piscis, thus manifesting in the design Agni ‒ the divine ray, son, and pillar (skambha) of the Vedic hymns. This geometric landscape and architecture begs the question: When will the radius and its companion vesica piscis be widely SEEN, UNDERSTOOD, and APPLIED,—in India and beyond—, as a key of understanding the geometric and zodiacal basis of Vedic and Post-Vedic (i.e., Hindu) symbols and lore? Regardless of when this happens, this precious Vedic key and treasure is now HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT in Central Vista  the heart of the Indian government in New Delhi.

When I assigned the value of ONE to the radius or pillar of this vesica piscis, and thus to all the sides of the two equilateral triangles, I saw that the diameter of the old parliament building is approximately half of this radius. I then centered two r/2-diameter circles perfectly within the two equilateral-triangle plots on the map, to see if the buildings are well-centered within their respective triangles.

The 432,000 measure of the Vesica Piscis and the Divine Trinity of the Circle (Lori Tompkins)
I do not know how accurate the centralvista.gov.in map is, but it seems the old parliament building is a bit better centered or aligned within its triangle than the new building. Regardless, both are governed by the same geometric laws of the circle and its radius. For those that are not aware, together the radius and its companion vesica piscis divide the circumference of the circle into three even 120° (=120° x 60' x 60" = 432,000") segments and into six even 60° (=216,000") segments, as well into the nine even 40° (=144,000") units of our 0/9 number system and the twelve even 30° (=108,000") months of the Zodiacal/Vedic Year. And this sacred geometry and eternal law or sanatana dharma is the forgotten basis of the Divine Trinity as well as the 432,000 measure of the Kali Yuga, the 432,000-syllable measure of the Rig Veda, and the corresponding 432,000-mile measure of the Sun's radius. The sacred/eternal form and measure of the vesica piscis ("vessel of the FISH") is also the forgotten basis of Vishnu's line of ten avatars (Dasavatara), starting with Vishnu's first avatar Matsya (FISH) Avatar. [See: Geometric Keys of Vedic Wisdom, Part One, Ch.  7, 14, 15; and my illustrations which make this important association clear.]

The Radius-Vesica Piscis, Flower of Life, Hexagon and Satkona/Star of David (Lori Tompkins)

In the images above we can see that six conjoined vesicae piscium (aka the Flower of Life) divides the circle into six, and by this eternal law of the circle and its radius, we can easily draw or construct the Hexagon and the Satkona (aka the Star/Root of David). Above right, I added the glyphs of the zodiacal Satkona, formed by the zodiacal Fire Trine (0° Aries-Leo-Sagittarius) and Air Trine (0° Gemini-Libra-Aquarius). In the image below I have overlaid the six-petalled Flower of Life and its corresponding Satkona on top of the old and new parliament buildings, and added a circle around the new parliament building, to demonstrate the subtle sacred geometry informing the structures. Readers can visualize the subtle hexagons enveloping each of the subtle Satkonas. A third and fourth Satkona with Flower of Life could be placed in the circular center of the old building and in the hexagonal Central Lounge of the new building. The Sacred Geometry & Satkona of India's Old and New Parliament (Lori Tompkins 29 May 2023)

Given what I have discussed and illustrated above, readers should easily be able to see and understand that the sacred and eternal law (sanatana dharma) and measure of the radius and its companion vesica piscis, measures out some key features of both buildings, including the entrances into the buildings and their surrounding landscape.

Both structures contain in themselves the division, geometry, and number power of 3 and 6 in various ways. The original parliament building also carries the number power of 9 in its architecture, via its 360° circular shape (3 + 6 + 0 = 9) and its perimeter of 144 (1 + 4 + 4 = 9) columns. Other than in the subtle circle and the 180° sum of the angles of the Triangle, I do not know as of yet if the new parliament building has any significant 9 power architecture or iconography. Its plot number, 118, does reduce to 10 and further to the power of 1 via  1 + or 1 + 18 (= 11 + 8 ), which is significant in terms of Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet's (Thea's) writings about Sri Aurobindo's birth in the 9-power year of 1872 as Vishnu's 9th Avatar and his rebirth as the 10th Avatar (=the Hidden One/Son of the Vedas) in the 1-power year of 1963 (1 + 9 + 6 + 3 = 1 + 18 = 1 + 9 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1).
"Sri Aurobindo was known to be the 9th Avatar and Kalki by his return as the 10th…. [T]he breakthrough is precisely a new experience of time whereby at death the flow is not severed, resulting in an unconscious rebirth. The second coming, if we dare use the phrase, implies an unbroken line in time ‒ in this case between the 9th appearance and the 10th. They are thus one and the same because the line is not broken. 'Death' is not unconscious, not a sojourn 'on the other side' disconnected from this plane.
"This can be achieved when Supermind is fully manifested and established here, the mission of the 9th and his collaborators. Through his conscious 'death' the victory is cemented in the evolutionary matrix when [Vishnu's] 9th Avatar himself becomes the 10th in an unbroken line of time between the two. This is in a nutshell the definitive purpose of his coming." ‒ Thea, Secrets of the Earth - Questions and Answers On the Line of Ten Avatars of Vedic Tradition (2008), pp. 85-86

"Nine is the number of the Occult Trinity: 3 x 3. It cannot be understood, nor can it serve as the master key to open the doors of higher knowledge, unless it is seen to hold in itself the numbers 6 and 3. The sum of 9, 6, and 3 is 18. In consequence, we can speak of the fourth [of Sri Aurobindo's Solar Line] as either, the One, or the Ten (following the 9), or the Nineteenth (following the 18), all of which do equal 1. Hence we must stress once more in this present study, as we have done in previous ones: only 1 after 9 is unity.... Therefore the Line of the Sun starts from 9, which is the rhythm of the luminary's own pulse with respect to Earth, passes on to 6 and then down to 3; until finally through the 3, the last of the tri-power original cell, the 9 returns as the One, and this is Kalki or Shiva's son Kartikeya, who is 'Shiva himself'." – Thea, The New Way, Vols. 1&2, p. 123 [Bold emphasis added]

"Sri Aurobindo was known to be the 9th Avatar and Kalki by his return as the 10th…. [T]he breakthrough is precisely a new experience of time whereby at death the flow is not severed, resulting in an unconscious rebirth. The second coming, if we dare use the phrase, implies an unbroken line in time – in this case between the 9th appearance and the 10th. They are thus one and the same because the line is not broken. 'Death' is not unconscious, not a sojourn 'on the other side' disconnected from this plane.

"This can be achieved when Supermind is fully manifested and established here, the mission of the 9th and his collaborators. Through his conscious 'death' the victory is cemented in the evolutionary matrix when the 9th Avatar himself becomes the 10th in an unbroken line of time between the two. This is in a nutshell the definitive purpose of his coming....

"[T]he essence of the difference between conscious death and otherwise lies in the most important feature of Supermind: its capacity to control the play of circumstances – better known as the Becoming. This comes about when the Void is filled, the 'error' that Sri Aurobindo understood would be the task of Kalki, 10th Avatar, to correct. This he did by his own 'death' and rebirth, fulfilling brilliantly the Vedic injunction the 9 becomes the 10." – Thea, Secrets of the Earth, pp. 86-87 [Bold emphasis added]

Thea discussed the sacredness of the 9-power number 18 in various contexts, including noting that the 18 days between the day and month of Sri Aurobindo's 5 December death and the Mother's 17 November passing contains the day of Sri Aurobindo's rebirth (26 November) in the middle. In The New Way, Vols. 1&2 she also wrote of 18 as the number power of the Earth:
"[W]e may safely call 18 the number-power of the Earth,—the sum of 9 and 6 and 3, the numbers of the planet's radius [3960 miles]." (p. 421) [Bold emphasis added]
Given the above, we can see the plot number of the new parliament building – 118 – as corresponding to "the One, or the Ten (following the 9), or the Nineteenth (following the 18), all of which do equal 1", and thus to the Fourth of Sri Aurobindo's Solar Line in Thea's supramental cosmology.

I have discussed the sacred number of 144 (= 432 ÷ 3) in relation to the special 144-year cycle of the Kumbha Mela, the 144-year cycle from the year of Sri Aurobindo's 1872 birth to Thea's 2016 passing, as well as the 144-age cycle (12 Precessional cycles) discussed and illustrated in Thea's book The Gnostic Circle. In The New Way, Vols 1&2 (p. 140) she wrote of 1926 (1 + 9 + 2 + 6 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9) as the first year of the Age of Aquarius/Kumbha, thus, with this and the above in mind regarding the numbers 19, 10 and 1, we can better appreciate the inauguration of the original Indian parliament in the 1-power year of 1927 (= 1926 + 1 or 1 + 9 + 2 + 7 = 19 = 18 + 1 = 1 + 9 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1).

The 3-6-9 angles of the 144-year cycle - 48 + 48 + 48 years (Lori Tompkins)
18 January (18.1) 2023 marked the 96-year anniversary of the inauguration of the original parliament building. I find this significant because, just as 2022 marked the completion of two-thirds of the 144-year cycle stretching from the beginning of the Age of Aquarius to 2070 CE, 18 January 2023 marked two-thirds (240° = 864,000") of a 144-year cycle of the first Indian parliament building inauguration. As I have been discussing since 2016, 0° Sagittarius,two-thirds into the Zodiacal/Vedic year, and the third angle of Agni's Fire Trine/Triangle, corresponds to birth of the divine Son/Sage/Horse of the Vedas via his seven rivers/mothers, whereby he travels to his Kumbha (=his Goal) in the Vedic year. [See: "The Spherical Gnosis of the Sage & the Release of the Vedic Waters - Part Five]

I doubt that the people that planned and executed the building of the new parliament building had any knowledge of the Vedic significance of inaugurating it 96 years after the original, or of the Vedic significance of inaugurating the new building in the 7-power year of 2023, while Pluto is transiting 0° Aquarius/Kumbha. Regardless, that is how this historic event has unfolded, displaying a certain supramental harmonization of the sacred geometries of Time and Space, sacred architecture, supramental cosmology, and the critical keys of understanding the veiled symbols and lore of the Rig Veda.

Note that via the post-Vedic error of measuring the Zodiacal (Vedic) Year via sidereal measurements adopted by India circa the 12th century CE which lags behind the Solar/Tropical/Vedic measure of the Zodiac by some 23-24 degrees, most Indians believe that Pluto is currently transiting 6° Capricorn, not 0° Aquarius/Kumbha at the time of writing this article and at the time of the inauguration of the new parliament building.

In a later post I will discuss the three themes of the new parliament's interior  the lotus, the peacock, and the banyan tree in relation to Vishnu's Avatars, Sri Aurobindo's Yoga, the Vedic Year, and the Vedic/Yogic Victory. It might be a while before I get around to writing it because I want to get back to finishing my "The Spherical Gnosis of the Sage & the Release of the Vedic Waters" series, Part Six of which will address the Vedic origin of our world's concept of and fascination with the APOCALYPSE and the corresponding idea of a Divine Son/World Savior who rids the world of Falsehood, Ignorance, Crookedness, Evil, etc.
