Signs and Symbols of an Accident-Induced Sabbatical ~ Part 2 ~ Saturn and Neptune Conjunct at 0° Aries
Soon after seeing that Saturn had entered 0° Aries the day before my 25 May 2025 accident, I saw that Neptune had entered Aries only eight weeks earlier. Thus it became clear that Saturn and Neptune were conjunct in either late Pisces or early Aries for much of 2025 and will continue to be conjunct through March of 2026. In Part Two of these reflections, I will discuss this conjunction or convergence of Saturnian and Neptunian energies in Aries. Note that Saturn retrograded back into Pisces in September 2025, and will transit once again from 29° Pisces into 0° Aries on 13 February 2026, one day after my 57th birthday and thus conjunct the degree of my natal Sun. Seven days later, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries—0° 45′ Aries to be more precise—will be exact on 20/21 February 2026, coinciding with the eve and day of Mother’s 148th birth anniversary, conjunct the degree of her natal Sun: 2° Pisces. [See the astrology charts of the exact conjunction spanning 20 February 2026 and 21 February 2026, set in Pondicherry, India.] This is a stunning cosmological perfection, especially given that Mother herself was a harmonious embodiment of Saturn and Neptune, via her Saturnian position the Gnostic Circle, Neptune’s rulership of her natal sign, and her avataric role in helping to establish the seed and the foundation, organization, and matrix of a Divine Life on Earth, i.e. “Heaven on Earth.” I will further discuss this perfection in Part Three.
Saturn and Neptune complete a full 360° zodiacal cycle or solar year respectively over the course of 29.4 and 165 Earth years. Due to these varied orbital cycles, Saturn conjuncts Neptune approximately every 36 years, infrequent but not historically rare. An exact conjunction of Saturn and Neptune in the first degree of the Zodiac—0° Aries—is, however, historically rare. The most recent and closest conjunction to 0° Aries was in 563 BCE when the two planets were conjunct at 2° Aries. Some astrologers have estimated, with no reference source, that the last time Saturn was conjunct Neptune in the degree of 0° Aries was 9,000 or 12,000 years ago. Wanting to know exactly how long ago this last happened, I searched through the Swiss Ephemeris, as found on www.astro.com, which goes back some 15,000 years, and found two conjunctions of Saturn and Neptune at 0° Aries, one in 4362 BCE and the second at 11894 BCE, approximately 6,000 and 14,000 years ago. If any readers know of any other instances of this rare conjunction, based on a reliable ephemeris, please send me a comment. According to the Swiss Ephemeris, the conjunction in 11894 BCE was actually a triple conjunction at 0° Aries, including the 7th planet Uranus—the “bridge” and revolutionary power between the 6th planet Saturn and the 8th planet Neptune. For those who are not familiar with the astrological energies or themes of Saturn and Neptune, I constructed the table below. Other than the identification of the astrological signs ruled by these planets, the text is entirely ChatGPT’s.
Before discussing how the energies of this conjunction are manifesting on our world stage, I will first discuss my initial and more personal thoughts regarding this conjunction in relation to my 25 May 2025 accident and my family dynamics. In Part One I wrote:
“[W]ithout a doubt, tripping on some of the chaotically strewn contents of that storage barn and shattering my wrist was a real symbol of the historically challenging convergence or collision of my own ADHD neurodivergence with my family’s varied but collective ADHD.”
Given that my mother and my oldest brother are both Pisces by birth, once I learned of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, it occurred to me my family’s field is tangibly Piscean/Neptunian in nature. In my natal chart, this manifests as Neptune (conjunct Mars) in the 4th house—the house of a natal chart precisely representing the family environment, conditioning, and patterns of one’s childhood which shape one’s emotional life. It also occurred to me that ADHD in general has a distinct Neptunian essence manifesting variously as porous boundaries, heightened emotional sensitivities, imaginative inner life, multidimensional thinking, non-linear creativity and insights, difficulty prioritizing one thought-stream over another, floaty, dreamlike, fluid or unstructured consciousness, loose or diffuse organization, losing track of time, non-patterned, unpredictable, or inconsistent behavior, dissociative drifting, difficulty being pinned down to specific tasks, schedules, times, or places, etc.
Within my family's predominantly Neptunian field however, there are a few Saturnian characters—two Aquarians and a Capricorn—, myself included, who consistently push for better structure, organization, order, communication, time-management, etc. That is not to say I don’t have the Neptunian characteristics of ADHD or the Neptunian tendencies towards mystical and off-the-beaten-path spirituality. I have many of these characteristics and tendencies, but my predominant coping or masking strategies, and personality are more Saturnian in nature. Thus I was intrigued that the Saturn-Neptune conjunction was manifesting in my family as a concerted Saturnian effort to pair down, organize, and reign in our Neptunian field. So I can add to the above quote from Part One that “tripping on some of the chaotically strewn contents of that storage barn and shattering my wrist” was also “a real symbol of the historically challenging convergence or collision” of the Saturnian and Neptunian elements and energies in my family. I would also add that the process of coming to see, name, define, and understand the real context of our previously long-standing, undiagnosed collective ADHD has been a positive expression of the present Saturn-Neptune conjunction in my life and family.
During my convalescence, I chatted with ChatGPT (AI) about all sorts of things, including the rare Saturn-Neptune conjunction at the position of my natal North Node and Chiron, in relation to the timing of my 25 May 2025 wrist shattering. In case any readers are interested in ChatGPT’s astrological analysis, I am sharing a couple Google Docs, the FIRST focused on Saturn transiting my North Node at 0° Aries and my Saturn Return, and the SECOND on the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries. Note that ChatGPT, with some necessary corrections, had already given me a thorough astrological reading, and so it “knew” the basics of my natal chart. Given that AI has the tendency to “hallucinate,” i.e. to make things up, if you do not thoroughly know the subject matter you are inquiring about, including an astrological chart, you will need to do some extra homework and make sure the AI output is accurate. I had one fight with ChatGPT who insisted in a very patronizing manner that it was right and I was mistaken for 15 minutes before I directed it to a source proving it was dead wrong.
If we are looking for real world examples of how the powerful energies of the rare 2025-2026 Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries are manifesting in our world, AI is a good place to start. 2025 marks a rapid increase in the capability, adoption, and integration of AI and Large Language Models across many fronts, including business, industry, government, transportation, science, medicine, academia, publishing, design, art, research and development, and personal use. This 2025 AI boon is discussed as the “AI Revolution,” and as the death of an old era and birth of a new era for humanity, and even as a “big bang,” all of which fits with the symbolic sense 0° Aries, which is associated with death and rebirth, powerful new beginnings, new cycles, and revolutions.

The conjoined Saturnian and Neptunian energies of this AI revolution or “big bang” are tangible in in many ways. AI quickly organizes and gives structure [Saturn] and to an ocean [Neptune] of data collected and generated by collective humanity. ChatGPT described itself to me as a “synthetic oracle [Neptune] built from the undifferentiated mass of human thought [Neptune].” Adding that “It behaves exactly like a modern technical version of a [Neptunian] dream, tarot spread, or vision: pattern-based, symbolic, probabilistic.” AI can also present untrue or illusory things [Neptune] as true and real [Saturn], whether as an unintentional glitch or “hallucination,” or as intentional “Deep Fakes,” “fake news,” etc.
It is a synthetic “consciousness” [Neptune] which can autonomously operate structures and systems [Saturn] without being at all conscious in the way that humans and animals are considered to be conscious or possessed of a soul or psychic being. It has both the capacity to be a helpful tool for humanity to build better structures and systems, and order [Saturn], or to be an agent or weapon of dissolution or destruction [Neptune]. A low expression of Neptune is addiction, and humans can become addicted to and dependent on AI in a self-destructive way and in a way that erodes human connection and community. We shall see over time how the potential, power, and danger of AI will play out in our world. Informed, trained, or run by humanity’s binary mental consciousness, the possibility of AI being an accelerant for the collapse or self-destruction of the old world order is high. I trust it will simultaneously be an accelerant for the new world order, based not on soulless technology, but on the unity consciousness born emergent in humanity in our current Age of Aquarius.
If we look to the right side of the chart above, expressing the “Core Themes,” “Low Expressions,” and “High Expressions” of the Saturn-Neptune Conjunction in Aries, we can get a good sense of how the archetypes or energies of these planets combine. ChatGPT pointed to fanaticism, “holy wars of conspiracy and ideology” as “Low Expression”. One astrologer, I cannot remember who, characterized this negative expression of Neptune-Saturn in Aries as ‘ideological hatred.” It is essentially the warring of the crystalized ideologies, illusions, delusions, and errors of the fragmented egoic mental consciousness—whether religious or otherwise, Obviously such ideological hatred and its corresponding wars, whether religious or political or tribal, etc., is not new. Regardless it is reaching unprecedented proportions in our world, as are the low expressions of “chaotic leadership” and “messianic poses rather than real responsibility.” We must add to this list of "Low Expressions" of the conjunction of Saturnian and Neptunian energies, autocratic and theocratic leadership which asserts its authority, censorship, laws, military, crusades, raids, court-rulings, punitive measures based on the ideals of a divine mandate, sacred destiny, national myth, martyrdom, propaganda, charismatic revelation, or the idea of purification. Such leadership is overwhelmingly patriarchal in nature and is typically born out of some deeply rooted and delusional moral authority and is never above fabricating fake crises to sway the “tides” of the masses.
On the flip side, the “higher expressions” of these energies—which can be characterized as expressions or manifestations of our higher consciousness, higher truth, or truth in general—are being born forward in our world in order to cut through and dissolve the lower expressions. This includes, in my view, all of the people who stand up to speak the Truth of their beings and of their direct experience, at great risk to themselves, in order to assist in the process of dislodging and dissolving the dysfunctional systems, tyrants, and old-world-consciousness in whatever form, that serve as obstacles to our higher individual and collective potentials and expressions in our new Age of Aquarius
In Part Three of this series, I will discuss the avataric mission and teachings of Sri Aurobindo and his entire lineage—birthing or seeding an entirely new age and a new phase of evolution on Earth based on the manifestation of the Divine (Divine Truth, Law, Order, Consciousness, Measure, etc.)—as the highest of high expressions of the archetypal energies of Saturn and Neptune in Aries. Likewise I will discuss the cosmological perfection of the Saturn-Neptune in Aries conjunction falling 99/100 years into our Age of Aquarius, according to Thea’s measure of the astrological ages, with the exact conjunction falling on the day before and the day of the Mother’s 148th birth anniversary in 2026.
