Before Hamas’ 7.10.2023 “Operation al Aqsa Flood” attack on Israel, I made no attempt to explore whether or not the ancient signs and symbols of the seven-powered apocalyptic Vedic Flood and its 7-mothered, 10-month anointed Divine Sage-Son were woven into Islamic traditions and lore as it was woven, however fragmented, distorted, and misunderstood, into most religious traditions, lore, and mythologies across the world. When Hamas attacked Israel on 7.10 in the 7-power year of 2023 and was characterized as a Flood, it was clear to me that I needed to look at this significant world event in relation to what was revealed or shown to me 7 years earlier, the week of Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet's (Thea’s) 9 October 2016 passing regarding the sevenfold ascent, flood, and birth of the Divine Son (Agni) as the purified Sage, Seer, or Prophet, sometimes depicted as a purified White Horse, as well as a Lion, Bull, Bird, etc., who travels via seven rivers, floods, virgin mothers, steps, regions, bowls, etc., to his heavenly Kumbha (=Jar), seat, birthplace, goal assembly, banquet, altar, or home by whatever name.
“The Son of the sacrifice is a constant image of the Veda. Here it is the godhead himself, Agni who gives himself as a son to man, a Son who delivers his father. Agni is also the War-Horse and the steed of the journey, the White Horse, the mystic galloping Dadhikravan who carries us through the battle to the goal of our voyaging." – Sri Aurobindo, discussing Rig Veda 5.25, The Secret of the Veda, CWSA, Vol. 15, p.461
The Sagittarian-Sage (Radius/Son) travels, via his 7th River (Vesica Piscis/ Mother) to 0° Aquarius, 10 months into the zodiacal Vedic Year, measuring out the 6th angle of the Satkona, the Kumbha, home and meeting place of the Vedic Son, gods, goddesses, rivers, cows, treasures, etc. (Lori Tompkins, 2024)
In Part One of this series I discussed and illustrated the Vedic and zodiacal sense of the Flood imagery contained in Hamas’ “Operation Al Aqsa Flood”, which is echoed in the date of the 7.10 attack on Israel and in Israel’s Star of David symbol [], known in India as Ṣaṭkōṇa, written as both Shatkona or Satkona, meaning "six angles". I illustrated the zodiacal geometry of the seven rivers, floods, or cows, etc., that give birth to the Divine Sage-Son of the Vedas, the seventh of which rises up from 0° Libra (the entrance of the seventh sign of Libra) and flows to 0° Aquarius/Kumbha. Via this arced or bowed river, path, ascent, or journey to the heavenly Water Jar, the Divine Son, Sage or White Horse (Agni) simultaneously completes his seven-river and ten-month birth, and measures out the sixth angle of his Satkona. These various measures, along with other equivalent measures, simultaneously give us the zodiacal (aka “heavenly”) location of the birthplace, goal, home of the Vedic Sage, Son, or Horse which is the gathering place of the Vedic gods, goddesses, rivers, cows, horses, etc. Via this zodiacal Vedic geometry, we can see and understand WHY exactly the Satkona has come to be equated in India with Krishna’s home, Goloka, literally meaning “the place of cows [go]”. In the Vedas this is called Goṣṭha, the cows' pen, which is one of the MANY equivalent names of the sevenfold goal, home, or resting place of the conquering Vedic Seer-Son.

As discussed and illustrated in Part One, the launch of Israel’s retaliatory full-scale invasion of the Gaza Strip, on Israel’s 27 October 2023, fell at this position—0° Aquarius/Kumbha— in the cycle of the Gregorian Year. It is also worth noting Pluto has been transiting through or closely conjunct this specific degree of the Zodiac throughout 2023-2024. The last time Pluto was at this degree of the Zodiac was 1777-1778, which was of course a pivotal time in the American Revolutionary War.

In this part of the series, Part 2, which I have published exactly 8 years after Thea's passing, I will discuss the Vedic and zodiacal sense of the “al Aqsa” part of “Operation al Aqsa Flood”, in relation to Muhammad’s seven-tiered Night Journey. In Part 3 I will extend this discussion to the Islamic Hajj and its prescribed seven circumambulations around the Kaaba, considered to be the House of God (Baytullah). In my view, the Night Journey and the Hajj both carry in themselves the signs and symbols of the sevenfold Vedic Apocalypse, however unrecognized. Although this discussion will likely be offensive to many, it is not at all my intention to offend. My intention is to share unifying keys of ancient gnosis which have emerged via Sri Aurobindo’s avataric yoga and lineage like a Lotus from the muddy waters of humanity’s long-standing collective ignorance with regards to the veiled symbols and lore of Ancient Seer-Poets. These keys have emerged in our present Age of Aquarius (or Kumbha) as part of an evolutionary process whereby our indwelling Divine Self or Sage Self, equipped with the spherical consciousness, vision, gnosis and experience of unity, finally breaks through and is born out of the obstructions, veils, or womb of our binary and linear mental consciousness. Once the all-unifying spherical consciousness the Divine Sage (aka Son) is sufficiently awakened in our beings, we can progressively see and understand that the MANY names and forms of the Divine are all in truth, varied expressions of the ONE Divine source and sustaining force of creation.

“To what is One, sages give many a title….”
 – Rig Veda 1.164.46, tr. RTH Griffith

“This divine force [=the Divine Sage, Son, Savior, Messiah, etc.] is born victorious by its very purity & infinity over all the hostile forces that prevent, obstruct, limit or strive to destroy our accomplished freedoms, powers, illuminations & widenesses; by his victory he ushers in the wide days of the siddha [the awakened human], for which these nights & dawns of our human life are the preparatory movements.... – Sri Aurobindo, Hymns to the Mystic Fire, CWSA, Vol. 16, p. 710 [Text in brackets added]

Exploring the Vedic Origin & Sense of “Al Aqsa”

For all readers who are unversed in Islamic tradition or lore, al Aqsa does not refer to the area of Israel that was attacked by Hamas on 7 October 2023. The Israeli territory surrounding Gaza that was attacked is called “the Gaza Envelope”. Al Aqsa, literally translated as “the farthest” or “the supreme”, is the adjectival name given to the Islamic mosque on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount. Al-Aqsa Mosque, aka al-Haram al-Sharif (“the Noble Sanctuary”), was constructed in 637 CE, following the prophet Muhammad’s 632 CE death and the subsequent 636-37 CE conquest of Jerusalem by one of Muhammad’s senior disciples. Al Aqsa is likewise used by Muslims as a name of the entire Temple Mount itself, not just the mosque on it.

As reported by various news outlets, “Operation al Aqsa Flood” was intentionally carried out to coincide with the 50-year anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, which began on 6 October 1973 with surprise attacks on Israeli-held territories in the Golan Heights, Sinai Peninsula, Suez Canal and surrounding regions. It was also reported that Hamas officials attributed their 7.10.2023 attack to “long-standing tensions between Israel and Palestinians, especially the fight over the sacred Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.” [1] [Bold emphasis added]

Note that the second of the various Palestinian “Intifadas”, or efforts to shake off Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, is known as “the Al Aqsa Intifada” (2000-2005). It earned this name because the violence first erupted at the al-Aqsa Mosque. [See Jerusalem Story] The First Intifada (1987-1991) is referred to as “The Stone Intifada” due to much literal casting of stones. Some have called the current Israeli-Hamas war, from "Operation al Aqsa Flood" onwards, the “Third Intifada”.

Thus, on the surface level, the al Aqsa component of the operational name of Hamas’s 7 October attack is a symbol of the ongoing religious wars waged over Jerusalem and its Temple Mount by the fractured triad of Abrahamic religions who share the common belief of an impending messianic apocalypse, but bitterly disagree over the who, what, when, where, and how of it all. The fracturing and violent contentiousness of this ill-fated Triad is the natural result of humanity’s long-standing ignorance of the original Vedic and zodiacal origin and context of apocalyptic messianism and all of its related symbols, ideologies, dogmas, and rituals.

The deeper symbolic significance of the name al Aqsa and the reason WHY it is a descriptor of the Temple Mount and its mosque in the first place is found in the lore of Muhammad’s miraculous Night Journey to al-Masjid al-Aqsā ("the Farthest Mosque") and his ascension through the Seven Heavens on a speedy, white winged horse-like creature named al Buraq, which is translated into English as “the Lightning”. The following excerpt is from Wikipedia’s “Isra' and Mi'raj” page discussing the Islamic ideology or lore of Muhammad’s two-part “Night Journey”.

“The Israʾ and Miʿraj are the two parts of a Night Journey that Muslims believe the Islamic prophet Muhammad (AD 570–632) took during a single night around the year AD 621…. Within Islam, the majority of scholars agree that the journey was both a physical and spiritual one. A brief mention of the story is found in the 17th surah (chapter) of the Quran, called al-Isra', while details of the story are found in the hadith (the later collections of the reports, teachings, deeds and sayings of Muhammad).

“In the Israʾ("Night Journey"), Muhammad is said to have traveled on the back of Buraq (a winged horse-like animal) to Al-Aqsa (i.e. the Noble Sanctuary), where he led other prophets including Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), and Isa (Jesus) in prayer.

“Muhammad then ascended into heaven during the Miʿraj (Ascension), where he individually greeted the prophets, and later spoke to God....

“In the second part of the journey, the Miʿraj (an Arabic word that literally means "ladder")… [Muhammad] toured the seven stages of heaven, and spoke with the earlier prophets…. Muhammad was then taken to Sidrat al-Muntaha – a holy tree in the seventh heaven that Gabriel was not allowed to pass....

“The general consensus of modern Muslim scholars is that the Isra' and Mi'raj were specific to a physical place called al-Masjid al-Aqsā ("the Far Mosque") and that Muhammad did indeed go to a physical location. Minority Muslim groups have also regarded the journey as an out-of-body [mystical] experience.” [Bold emphasis added]

The first verse of Surah 17 of the Quran is considered to be a reference to this Night Journey. Via English translation, it reads:

“Glory be to Him, who carried His servant [=the Prophet Muhammad] by night from the Holy Mosque to the Further Mosque [al-Masjid al Aqsa] the precincts of which We have blessed, that We might show him some of Our signs. He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing.” – Quran 17:1, tr. Alberry [Bold emphasis added]

Some have pointed out that, given that Quran 17:1 was supposedly based on Muhammad’s first-hand lived experience, al-Masjid al Aqsa in this verse could not possibly refer to a mosque that did not exist during Muhammad’s lifetime. Syed Ashar contends that the mention of al-Masjid al Aqsa in Quram 17:1 refers to God’s home IN HEAVEN, not to the mosque in Jerusalem.

“Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa in this [verse] means the Farthest Mosque in the Heaven. The Sacred Mosque means The Great Mosque at Makkah. The Prophet PBUH was taken from The Grand Mosque (Makkah) to the Heavens during a single night around the year AD 621 (1 BH – 0 BH), where he prayed while leading all Prophets and Messengers combined at the Bayt ul Ma'mour, the original official Home of God in the Heavens. The Ka’aba (Baitullah) was built as a Copy of Bayt ul Ma’mour as a designated home on Earth for God.” – “What does the Quran or hadiths say about Jerusalem according to Allah?”, Quora [Bold emphasis and text in brackets added]

Note that Makkah is the official Saudi transliteration the Arabic lettering of Mecca (مكّة المكرمة). In Islamic lore, the “Home [and likewise the throne] of God in the Heavens” (Bayt ul Ma’mour) is specifically said to be in the seventh of Seven Heavens.

“Al-Bait-ul-Ma`mur is the Ka'bah of the angels who reside in the seventh heaven. When the Holy Prophet [Muhammad] reached the seventh heaven on the Night of Ascension, he saw Holy Prophet Ibrahim (علیہ السلام) reclining with his back on Al-Bait-ul-Ma`mur.” – Quran 52:4-5 (tasfir)

The Ka’bah or Kaaba is “the stone building at the center of Islam's most important mosque and holiest site, the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia”. [2] Muslims consider it to be, and revere it as God’s home on Earth, directly beneath his home in the seventh heaven, Al-Bait-ul-Ma`mur. [3] I found the following commentary reiterating the idea that al Aqsa is in the heavens; suggesting in essence that placing al Aqsa in Jerusalem—and thereby adding Jerusalem to Muhammad’s Night Journey on al Buraq—is an error.

[I]f Al-Aqsa is not in Jerusalem, where is it? An alternative and more timeless interpretation of al-Aqsa and its location is that it’s a celestial mosque in the heavens. This was the furthest mosque back then and remains the furthest mosque even now. The prophet never travelled from Mecca to Jerusalem in the night journey, instead he travelled directly from Mecca to the celestial mosque in the heavens.” – “Is Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem truly a holy Islamic site?”, Reddit [Bold emphasis added]

In other words, the Quran does not actually specify Jerusalem or its Temple Mount as the location of al-Masjid al Aqsa, and Muhammad’s Night Journey or ascension to heaven on al Buraq can be seen as one seven-fold movement. It must be noted here that, even though the Arabic word masjid is commonly translated and conceptualized as a mosque, it literally means “place of prostration”. Thus al-Masjid al Aqsa can be said to describe the “farthest” or “supreme” place where Man prostrates before or worships God. In Quran 53, Muhammad’s ascension takes him to the Furthest Tree (Sidrat al-Muntaha) aka Lote or Lotus Tree, associated with the extreme edge or limit (muntaha) of the Seventh Heaven.

“Then He [Gabriel] revealed to His servant [Muhammad] what He revealed. The heart did not lie about what it saw. Will you dispute with him concerning what he saw?… At the Lotus Tree of the Extremity. Near which is the Garden of Repose [aka “the Garden of ˹Eternal˺ Residence”]. As there covered the Lotus Tree what covered it. The sight did not waver, nor did it exceed. He saw some of the Great Signs of his Lord.” – Quran 53:10-18

More often this sacred Furthest Sidrat Tree in the Quran is translated as a Lote Tree.

Ziziphus lotus is often regarded as the lotus tree of Greek mythology. It is thought to be referenced in the Odyssey, consumed by the Lotus-Eaters as a narcotic…. In Arabic-speaking regions, Ziziphus lotus, and alternatively Ziziphus jujuba, are closely associated with the lote-trees (sidr) which are mentioned in the Quran, while in Palestine, it is rather Ziziphus spina-christi that is called sidr. Elsewhere in the Arab world, the European and Chinese jujubes are also associated with the lote-trees (sidr).”  – “Ziziphus lotus”, Wikipedia

“The Sidra al-Muntaha (Arabic: سِدْرَة ٱلْمُنْتَهَىٰ, romanized: Sidra al-Muntahā, lit. 'Lote Tree of the Farthest Boundary') in Islamic theology is a large lote or sidr tree…that marks the utmost [muntaha] boundary in the seventh heaven, where the knowledge of the angels ends....” – “Sidrat al-Muntaha”, Wikipedia [Bold emphasis added]

In her book Traversing the Heart, Hannah Bigelow Merriman wrote:

Sidrat al-muntaha, typically translated as “the lote tree of the boundary” or the “the lote tree beyond which none may pass,” is a mysterious threshold described in Islamic tradition as the tree that the Prophet Mohammed encountered at the climax of the mi’raj, his legendary nocturnal ascent through the seven heavens.”

In Islamic ideology, the heavenly or paradisiacal Eternal Garden (Jannah) of Repose is said to be seven tiered. The seven levels of heaven or Jannah are mentioned in Quran 23:16-18, which contains in itself clear symbols of the Vedic Apocalypse or flood:

"[On] the Day of Judgment you will be resurrected. And indeed, We created above you seven levels ˹of heaven˺. We are never unmindful of ˹Our˺ creation. We send down rain from the sky in perfect measure, causing it to soak into the earth. And We are surely able to take it away."  tr. Dr. Mustafa Khattab

According to Wikipedia's Jannah page:

"[Some] have proposed that the seven levels suggested by the Qur'an are the seven heavens, above which is the Garden or final abode of felicity, while many see paradise as only one entity with many names."

Regardless of this statement, from what I can gather so far in my research, it appears that the Farthest Place of prostration (al-Masjid al Aqsa), the Furthest Tree (Sidrat al-muntaha), its nearby Garden of Eternal Residence (the Janna “beneath which the rivers flow”) and the heavenly Home of God (Bayt ul Ma’mour) that Muhammad is taken to on his magical winged, horse-like creature Buraq are widely considered to be conceptually different places.

However, if we are open to seeing and understanding the long-forgotten Vedic underpinnings of Muhammad’s sevenfold night journey on a lightning-fast flying horse-like creature, and if we see through the long-confounding Vedic stratagem of assigning MANY NAMES TO THAT WHICH IS ONE, which the Vedic Seer-Poets used to hide or veil their sacred gnosis from the profane, we can validly consider the possibility that the Islamic Farthest Place (al Aqsa), Farthest Tree, Garden of Eternal Residence, and heavenly Home of God are just different conceptions or names of the ONE many-named, sacred seven-fold heavenly place that the Vedic Sage [=Seer=Prophet] speeds to quickly, “with lightning’s flash”, as a white-winged Horse, Eagle, Falcon, Lion, Bull, etc., lauded by ancient Rishis thousands of years before the conception of Muhammad’s Night Journey.

Muhammad’s Lightning Vehicle – al Buraq

In Hindu mythology, an animal or vehicle that carries or bears a deity is referred to as a vāhana. It is believed that the name of Muhammad’s the white winged horse-like vehicle—the Buraq—is “derived from the Arabic word bariq, meaning “shine” or “brilliance”. [11] Buraq is often translated as “Lightning.” So far in my research, it does not appear that scholars have considered the connection between Muhammad’s vahana or carrier al Buraq and the Sanskrit word bhara, meaning “bearing”, “carrying”, or “bringing”. [12] In my mind the connection is clear. Interestingly enough, “Barack” — the first name of the 44th President of the United States — is an alternate spelling of Buraq.

In Rig Veda 3.14.1, Agni — the Divine Son, Sage, Seer, Prophet, Priest, Horse, Bull, etc., of the sacred Yajna or sacrificial zodiacal year — has come to the divine meeting place or synod of the gods. His car, vahana or bearer is specifically said to be “lightning” – vidyut in Sanskrit, buraq in Arabic.
“The pleasant Priest is come into the synod [=assembly], true, skilled in sacrifice, most wise, Ordainer. Agni, the Son of Strength, whose car is lightning, whose hair is flame, hath shown on earth his lustre.” – Rig Veda 3.14.1, tr. RTH Griffith [Bold emphasis added]
In Rig Veda 3.36.6 the waters (=the seven rivers, floods, streams, etc.) that bear Agni to his Kumbha, samudra (=reservoir, sea, ocean, etc.), [13] birthplace, home or victory, by whatever name, are explicitly likened to cars or vehicles.

“As floods according to their stream flow onward, so to the sea (samudra), as borne on cars, [flow] the waters." – Rig Veda 3.36.6 excerpt, tr. RTH Griffith [Bold emphasis added]

The Revelation or Apocalypse of the ONE Truth Hidden in MANY Forms, Symbols & Names

In The Secret of the Veda and Hymns to the Mystic Fire, Sri Aurobindo shed great light on the linguistic divide-and-conquer stratagem employed by the Vedic Seer-Poets to hide their sacred gnosis from “the profane”. He began the process of uplifting the integral secret and truth of the confusing and confounding array of bizarre symbols portraying the divine victory of the Vedic Son-Sage-Horse and the release of his rivers, floods, cows, horses, milk, amrita, wine, manna, etc., which has been a central source of religious fragmentation and conflict amongst mankind for ages.

“They are the symbols of the grand Mythus, the mythus of the Mystics in which they hid their supreme spiritual experience from the profane and, alas! effectively enough from their posterity [=future generations]. That they were secret symbols, images meant to reveal the truth which they protected but only to the initiated, to the knower, to the seer, Vamadeva himself tells us in the most plain and emphatic language in the last verse of this very hymn; “All these are secret words that I have uttered to thee who knowest, O Agni, O Disposer, words of leading, words of seer-knowledge that express their meaning to the seer,—I have spoken them illumined in my words and my thinkings”; etā viśvā viduṣe tubhyaṁ vedho, nīthāni agne niņyā vacāṁsi; nivacanā kavaye kāvyāni, aśaṁsiṣaṁ matibhir vipra ukthaiḥ. Secret words that have kept indeed their secret ignored by the priest, the ritualist, the grammarian, the pandit, the historian, the mythologist, to whom they have been words of darkness or seals of confusion and not what they were to the supreme ancient forefathers and their illumined posterity, niņyā vacāṁsi; nivacanā kavaye kāvyāni.” – Sri Aurobindo, The Secret of the Veda, CWSA, Vol. 15, p. 210 (a discussion of RV 4.3) [Bold and underscore emphasis added]

*

“[T]his is the poetry of a mystic concealing his sense from the profane under a veil of images which occasionally he suffers to grow transparent to the eye that chooses to see.” – Ibid, pp. 105-6 (a discussion of RV 4.58)

*

“[T]he whole Rig Veda reveals itself as a body of doctrine and practice, esoteric, occult, spiritual, such as might have been given by the mystics in any ancient country but which actually survives for us only in the Veda. It is there deliberately hidden by a veil, but the veil is not so thick as we first imagine; we have only to use our eyes and the veil vanishes; the body of the Word, the Truth stands out before us. [¶] Many of the lines, many whole hymns even of the Veda bear on their face a mystic meaning; they are evidently an occult form of speech, [they] have an inner meaning....

“Under pressure of the necessity to mask their meaning with symbols and symbolic words—for secrecy must be observed—the Rishis resorted to fixed double meanings, a device easily manageable in the Sanskrit language where one word often bears several different meanings, but not easy to render in an English translation and very often impossible….

The mystics were and normally are symbolists, they can even see all physical things and happenings as symbols of inner truths and realities, even their outer selves, the outer happenings of their life and all around them. That would make their identification or else an association of the thing and its symbol easy, its habit possible….

“[As] the summit of the teaching of the Vedic mystics comes the secret of the one Reality, ekaṁ sat, [1.164.46] or tad ekam, [10.129.2] which became the central word of the Upanishads. The Gods, the powers of Light and Truth are powers and names of the One, each God is himself all the Gods or carries them in him: there is the one Truth, tat satyam, [3.39.5; also 4.54.4 and 8.45.27] and one bliss to which we must rise. But in the Veda this looks out still mostly from behind the veil. There is much else but this is the kernel of the doctrine.” – Sri Aurobindo, Hymns to the Mystic Fire, CWSA, Vol. 16, pp. 12-21, excerpts [The Vedic verses in brackets were referenced in the original text via footnotes. Bold and underscore emphasis is added]

Via Sri Aurobindo and his lineage, the veil of the ancient Vedic secrets or symbolic words has become radically transparent for the “eye that chooses to see”. Once we CHOOSE TO SEE through this veil, we can easily see that our world’s religious wars and horrors boil down to humanity’s long-standing collective misunderstanding of the multitude of words and symbols that the Vedic Rishis, and perhaps other ancient bearers of the same gnosis, used to describe ONE EVENT or turning point in our evolutionary journey or yajna. This event is our birth out of the dark shell, womb, sheath, or evolutionary stage of our divisive mental consciousness (i.e. the womb of our own ignorance) via our awakening into the spherical, solar or unity consciousness of the Sage, Seer, Prophet, Savior, Messiah, or Divine Son by whatever name. This is the Apocalypse or un-eclipsing of our own Divine Self that naturally catalyzes the dissolution of our individual and collective fragmented mentality and ignorance that holds humanity in various patterns of self-destruction.

“When we identify ourselves with the play of this various Nature reflected upon our consciousness and lose sight of our godhead, then we resort too utterly to the principle of Avidya, God’s power of not knowing Himself, we become its servants, we are subject to Apara Maya, we stumble about buffeted by grief and error and all sorts of vikaras and viparita vrittis, [4] we know ourselves as the Jivatman and other than the Paramatman [the universal Self], we make division where there is no division; we turn play into bitter earnest and love and joy into hatred and weeping and gnashing of teeth. Nevertheless, this forgetfulness is allowed....

“But when we remember always and continually our oneness with the Supreme, our eternal and indefeasible Godhead, and at the same time allow Nature to reflect its movements on our souls as on a magical canvas according to His eternal purpose, then we have inalienable joy, then we bring heaven upon earth, then we fulfil the highest purpose of existence. We are then free even when we seem to be bound.... [We] wear the temporary limitations of Nature as children allow themselves to be bound in a game with bonds which the Yajna, Master of the Revels [=Agni] looses Himself when we have given Him and ourselves the intended and perfect satisfaction. It is in the spirit of this knowledge that the hymns of the Rigveda have been written....” – Ibid, pp. 511-13 [Bold emphasis and text in brackets added]

*

All ignorance is really partial or misplaced knowledge, all bondage a concealment of freedom, all evil good in the making, all sorrow a veiled delight.... We must shut our eyes upon nothing, renounce nothing as absolutely false or illusive if we would know the All and be perfectly liberated. Only when we gaze we must gaze aright and see God in all things, not things as aught but God. Our fathers did not commit the error of sectarianism or a partial philosophy. They were mighty as Gods or Titans, not like the men of the Kali Yuga who shout and quarrel over their imperfect philosophies and little bounded religions; their souls were spacious enough to take in all truth for their portion." – Ibid, pp. 516-17 [Bold emphasis added]

Exploring the Vedic Origin & Sense of Muhammad’s Night Journey

When I first began looking, post-7.10.2023, at the Islamic mythology of Muhammad’s Night Journey or ascent to heaven,—taken by many Muslims as a real event rather than as a symbolic or mythological event—, it did not take long to see and understand that it is, like St. John’s Revelation, a post-Vedic variation and imaginative appropriation of the occulted ancient symbols and lore of the sevenfold Vedic flood, revelation, or apocalypse. In the Vedic apocalypse, the Divine Son Agni quickly ascends to his heavenly seat, purified or whitened and lightning-quick, as a Sage, Seer, Horse, Eagle, Bull, etc. He, characterized as immortal or eternal, is born or carried to this far-extended heavenly place or summit (sānu) via his seven (likewise immortal or eternal) mothers, rivers, floods, wombs, sisters, daughters, virgins, dawns, goddesses, cows, mares, paths, steps, stations, planes, places, regions, domains, portions, drops, foundations, ridges, ships, wheels, jars, songs, stones, etc. [5] Some of the MANY NAMES or descriptions the Vedic Rishis gave to the ONE PLACE which the far-seeing and far-extending immortal Sage Agni ascends to “with the lightning's flash” in seven and ten-fold manner [6] are highlighted in bold text below.

“They, the ten sisters [=ten months], on the lap [upásthe=sheltered place] of Aditi, have sent him forward like a car from both the arms. He wanders and comes near the Cow's mysterious place, [7] even the place which his inventions have produced. Like as a falcon to his home, so speeds [Agni as the Sage – Soma Pavamana] to his own golden wisely-fashioned place to rest. With song they [the ten sisters/months] urge the darling to the sacred grass: the Holy One goes like a courser to the Gods. From far away, from heaven, the red-hued noted Sage, Steer of the triple height, hath sung unto the kine. With [a] thousand guidings he, leading this way and that, shines, as a singer, splendidly through many a morn. His covering assumes a radiant hue; where’er he comes into the fight he drives the foe afar. The Winner of the [Seven] Floods, with food he seeks the host of heaven, he comes to praises glorified with milk.” – Rig Veda 9.71.5-8, tr. RTH Griffith

“He [Agni as the Sage – Soma Pavamana], poured forth in a stream flows with the lightning's flash, Soma who gladdens Indra and the Host of Heaven. Winner of thousands, he, this Soma, flows along, raising a vigorous voice that wakens with the dawn.” – Rig Veda 9.84.3-4, tr. RTH Griffith

“Like a steed urged to battle, finder of the light; speed onward to the cloud-born reservoir [=the Kumbha or Jar] of heaven.... Seven Milch-kine glorify the Tawny-coloured One while with his wave in wool he purifies himself [i.e. makes himself WHITE]. The living men, the mighty, have impelled the Sage into the waters' lap [=the Kumbha or Jar], the place of sacrifice…. The Sisters Seven, the Mothers, stand around the Babe, the noble, new-born Infant, skilled in holy song, Gandharva of the floods, divine, beholding men, Soma, that he may reign as King of all the world.... They seize the flying Steer at the stream's breathing-place: cleansing with gold they grasp the Animal herein…. Dweller in floods, King, foremost, he displays his might, set among living things as measurer of days.” – Rig Veda 9.86 excerpts, tr. RTH Griffith

“[Speed onward Agni] with thy flowing stream…. So flow thou on as bright celestial juice, flow to the vast, immortal dwelling-place…. Flow onward, Soma….flow, mighty, in accordance with true Law…. Soma, flow splendid with thy copious stream through the great fleece [8] as in the olden time. Born…and purified, let the Light-finder make all blessings flow…. Flow on for wisdom, Soma, and for power, as a strong courser bathed, to win the prize. The pressers (rivers, mothers, cows, etc.…deck the Gold-hued Infant, newly born, even Soma, Indu, in the sieve for Gods…. [He] hath flowed on for rapturous joy, Sage for good fortune in the waters' lap. He bears the beauteous name of Indra, that wherewith he overcame all demon foes.… [The streams] cleanse thee for the Gods, gold-coloured, wearing water as thy robe…." – Rig Veda 9.109 excerpts, tr. RTH Griffith

“Visnu, the guardian, keeps the loftiest station, upholding dear, immortal dwelling-places. Agni knows well all these created beings. Great is the Gods' supreme and sole dominion…. [Dawn] weareth beauties manifold: uplifted, licking her [triply-measured Son=tryáviṃ]…she standeth. I seek the seat of law eternal. Great is the Gods' supreme and sole dominion.” – Rig Veda 3.55.10 and 14 [All bold emphasis and text in brackets above are added]

In addition to being Agni’s home, birthplace, place of rest, and seat of eternal law, this point in the 12-month 360° Vedic Sacrifice or Solar Year is his lair, station, altar, seat, goal, and central place in the heavens. It is also characterized as the gods’ meeting place, assembly, mansion, and banquet where they, the heavenly host or assembly, feast upon the immortal or eternal drink, food, or manna of the gods (=soma, amrita, mead, wine, milk, honey, ghee, etc.). It is also the meeting place, reservoir, lake, sea, ocean, filter, sieve, ladle, well, spring, and KUMBHA (=Jar=Vessel) of Agni’s seven rivers or floods. In Rig Veda 9.64.20 it is “the golden place” of the Vedic sacrifice. In Rig Veda 6.28.1, and elsewhere it is “the cow-pen” (goṣṭha) [9]. In Rig Veda 7.76.4-5, it is the banquet and meeting place not just of the gods but also of the gods and the ancient fathers or sages, numbered as seven (saptarishi) elsewhere in the Vedas.

“[The ancient sages true to Law Eternal] were the Gods' companions at the banquet…. The Fathers found the light that lay in darkness, and with effectual words begat the Morning [=the Dawn]. Meeting together in the same enclosure, they strive not, of one mind, one with another. They never break the Gods' eternal statutes….” – Rig Veda 7.76.4-5, tr. RTH Griffith

In Rig Veda 3.43.6, this place is described as “heaven’s farthest limits” which gives us the Vedic sense of “al Aqsa”.

“Yoked to thy chariot, led thy tall Bays, Indra, companions of thy banquet, bear thee hither, Who from of old press to heaven's farthest limits, the Bull's [seven] impetuous and well-groomed Horses.” – Rig Veda 3.43.6, tr. RTH Griffith

In Rig Veda 7.69.4, the Ashwins' vehicle is said to “[mark] with its track the farthest ends of heaven.” In Rig Veda 1.46.11 we are told: “The path of sacrifice was made to travel to the farther goal. The road of heaven was manifest” [tr. RTH Griffith]. It is also worth noting that Agni is repeatedly described as far-seeing, far-extended, far-shining, far-striding, far-spreading, far-reaching, etc., in the context of reaching his goal. In Rig Veda 1.95 and 9.100, this farthest seven-fold and ten-fold heavenly goal of the Vedic Sage-Son-Horse is described as the meeting place and abode of gods’ worshipers which gives us the Vedic sense of al-Masjid al Aqsa – as a place of prostration before God located at the farthest reaches of heaven. Some of the many names given to this singular heavenly meeting place of divine worshipers, the Divine Sage or Prophet, and his attendant gods, goddesses, sages, etc., are emphasized in bold in the hymns below.

“Tvaṣṭar's ten daughters [=months], vigilant and youthful, produced this Infant [a Godlike Babe of golden colour; bright and fair-shining] borne to sundry quarters…. [T]he seasons hath he stablished in their order. Who of you knows this secret One? The Infant by his own nature hath brought forth his Mothers [=rivers, floods, cows, goddesses, etc.]. The germ of many, from the waters' bosom he goes forth, wise and great, of Godlike nature. Visible, fair, he grows in native brightness uplifted in the lap of waving waters…. He makes him[self] a most noble form of splendour, decking him in his home with milk and waters. The Sage adorns the depths of air with wisdom: this is the meeting where the Gods are worshipped. Wide through the [sky] spreads forth triumphant the far-resplendent strength of [Agni]…. In dry spots he makes [waters] stream, and course, and torrent, and inundates the earth with floods that glisten. All ancient things within his [mouth/jaw] he gathers….” – Rig Veda 1.95 excerpts, tr. RTH Griffith [Text in brackets and bold emphasis added]

“[T]he mothers [=rivers, floods, cows, etc.] lick the new-born calf. O [Agni] Thou in the worshipper's abode causest all treasures to increase…. Flow on, Sage [aka Soma], with thy stream to give us mental power and strength…. Flow to the filter with thy stream, effused, best winner…rich in sweets for Indra, Viṣṇu, and the Gods. The mothers, void of guiles, caress thee Golden-coloured, in the sieve….” – Rig Veda 9.100, tr. RTH Griffith

This heavenly abode or place is also lauded by Vedic Rishis as a Tree which Agni flies to and rests upon.

“Praise him, your God who, bird-like, rests upon a tree, scattering drops of juice and pouring forth his flood, speaking aloud with flame as with his lips a priest, and broadening his paths like one of high command.” – Rig Veda 10.115.3, tr. RTH Griffith

In Rig Veda 10.97 this home of Agni’s is a Fig Tree (tr. RTH Griffith), and Agni is described as a Sage-Physician (aka Dhanvantari with his bowl of Amrita/Soma) who restores Man(kind) to wholeness via healing plants (aka herbs) that stream forth like cows from their stall. Thus the equivalence between the Vedic cows and rivers extends to healing plants, leaves or herbs. This Man, in the zodiacal sense of the Vedas, is the Man of Aquarius, uplifted, illuminated, purified via the waters, light, wisdom, truth-consciousness, law, herbs, soma, etc., of the Sagittarian Sage-Son-Horse. Note that the Sanskrit name for the 9th sign of Sagittarius is the Dhanu meaning “BOW”, as in the Bow of the Sagittarian archer, which I have discussed in terms of the arc, bow, bowl, river or path, etc. of the ninth radii or spoke of the twelve-spoked Vedic year by which the world-savior Agni travels to 0° Aquarius/Kumbha—his seat, goal, or Kumbha by whatever name—where the consciousness of Mankind becomes ONE with the Godhead, its Cosmic Matrix and its MANY Individual forms or expression. When we understand this, we can understand that the zodiacal Vedic apocalypse, and moreover the Zodiac itself, is the evolutionary prophecy or gnosis of Mankind’s divine birth or transformation, whereby we come to hold, manifest, and experience the unifying divine truth-consciousness of the Divine Sage, Son, Savior, Messiah, or Godhead by whatever name, in the sacred Vessel or Kumbha of our own bodies.

In Rig Veda 9.12.6-8, the Kumbha [=the vase], is mentioned in conjunction with the Fig Tree. This Tree is, like the Kumbha, said to yield heavenly milk.

“Indu [=Agni=Soma Pavamana] sends forth a voice on high to regions of the sea of air, shaking the vase that drops with meath. The [Fig] Tree [10] whose praises never fail yields heavenly milk among our hymns, Urging men's generations on. The Wise One, with the Sage's stream, the Soma urged to speed, flows on to the dear places of the sky.”

In Rig Veda 9.98.11 and throughout the Vedic hymns, Agni’s sevenfold birthplace is equated with the “break of day”, i.e., Dawn bearing the Son/Sun and the Daylight. This Dawn, aka Agni’s birth or awakening, marks the END of Agni’s hidden movements or gestation in the Dark of Night. In my view, this is the Vedic essence of Muhammad’s sevenfold “Night Journey” on al Buraq.

“These ancient Somas [≡Agni’s seven rivers, floods, ect.,], at the break of day, have flowed into the sieve [≡Kumbha]….” – Rig Veda 9.98.11, tr. RTH Griffith

*

“[Agni] like a horse is led forth to the sacrifice, Sage graciously inclined, that he may win us strength…. As pure and swift of course, beholder of the light, who stands in heaven's bright sphere a sign, who wakes at dawn, Agni, the head of heaven, whom none may turn aside…. [H]im the Powerful with mighty prayer we seek." – Rig Veda 3.2.7, 14 excerpts, tr. RTH Griffith

*

“Creating light for all the world of life, the Dawn hath laid the darkness open as the cows their stall. We have beheld the brightness of her shining; it spreads and drives away the darksome monster. Like tints that deck the Post at sacrifices, Heaven's Daughter [=Dawn] hath attained her wondrous splendour. We have o’erpast the limit of this darkness; Dawn breaking forth again brings clear perception." – Rig Veda 1.92.4-6, tr. RTH Griffith

“Dawn, hast caused Agni to be kindled [=born], and with the Sun's eye hast revealed creation.” – Rig Veda 1.113.9, , tr. RTH Griffith

Al Aqsa Flood

In addition to being the far-flung or furthest (al Aqsa) gathering place of the rivers, springs, floods, gods, goddesses, sages and such, Agni’s heavenly birthplace, goal, dawn, etc., is likewise the place from which the Vedic Son—known as the Floods’ Child—pours out his seven-fold heavenly FLOOD. This victory is equivalently described as the release and attainment of all manner of obstructed treasures, including cows, horses, amrita, manna, milk, honey, ghee, mead, wine, and such, for the benefit of the gods and humanity. This is the entire gist of the Vedic Apocalypse, which can validly be referred to as Al Aqsa Flood, if the Vedic sense of al Aqsa is seen and understood. In this sense, Al Aqsa Flood is equivalent to the purifying Flood poured out upon Mankind by the (Sagittarian) Divine Sage-Son-Horse from his farthest (al Aqsa) step, place, home, assembly, or extension in the Zodiacal Year. Of course I am not suggesting that Hamas’ attack on Israel itself is itself equivalent to the purifying Flood of the Divine Sage-Son. I’m saying that the symbols used in the operational name of the attack are forgotten and misunderstood Vedic symbols. In my view the WHOLE powder-keg situation in the Abrahamic "Holy Lands” of the Middle East is a living-symbol—a condensed Scorpionic KNOT—of humanity’s catastrophic misunderstandings of the apocalyptic Flood of the Vedic Sage-Son-Horse.

Seen correctly, this symbolic seven-fold FLOOD it is the revelation, birth, or awakening of the all-unifying, divine, solar, spherical SAGE-consciousness—symbolized by the Sun-Symbol and the Halo of light associated with divine beings of whatever ilk—in the vessel or Kumbha of the Human Being, conquering the ancient VEIL, obstruction, or formidable dragon of Darkness or Ignorance (Vritra) that blocks the flow of ancient wisdom in our world. This veil, dark cover, or blockage consists of humanity’s binary, linear mental consciousness by which it has been long unable to SEE or UNDERSTAND the 360° zodiacal context of the Vedic symbols and lore, and all related pre-Vedic or post-Vedic religious symbols and lore. Via this revelation, dawning, awakening of the Sage-Son’s solar consciousness in our world, his eternal geometric law, form, position, and measure is no longer hidden. It all becomes CLEAR AS DAY in the context of his 360° “Circle of Life”. And via the awakening or dawning of the eternal law, solar light and truth-consciousness of the Sage-Son, hidden within all his symbolic and real forms, he sets the “rivers”, “cows”, “horses”, and all obstructed, hoarded, or pen-up treasures, free from the cave, darkness, or ignorance of the linear-binary mental consciousness.

The Vedic Flood that is released upon the Sage-Son’s birth symbolizes on one level, the release of the long lost, trapped, hidden, obstructed, misunderstood, sacred, and COHESIVE MEANING of the Vedic symbols and lore and all related religious symbols and lore that has been thoroughly lost on humanity. It likewise symbolizes humanity’s purifying revelation that our ancient religious or spiritual symbols and symbolic words themselves are equivalent to obstructions, pens, traps, unopened vessels, impenetrable seals, covers (vritras), etc., until their true cohesive sense and context is understood. Moreover, and more importantly, this revelatory Flood of the Vedic Sage is a necessary CATALYST for humanity to see, understand, and experience ALL forms and creatures as the MANY expressions, vessels (kumbhas), and treasures of the ONE divine and eternal seed and core of creation. The indwelling divinity or the ONE hidden in the MANY forms and forces that comprise our cohesive “Circle of Life”, becomes progressively unhidden, unblocked, or un-eclipsed by our Ignorance. Likewise, the divinity that has been hidden or impenetrable to our view regarding the symbols and events of our own individual and collective lives and our individual and collective evolution, becomes increasingly transparent, releasing their hidden treasure or divine purpose.

Put more succinctly, the apocalyptic Vedic Flood of the Vedic Sage-Son represents the dissolution of humanity’s long-standing ignorance of the Divinity housed in our own bodies and in all of creation. Via the dissolution of this ignorance, we come to see and understand that our common singular or ONE Godhead (by whatever name) has hidden or disguised itself in the TOTALITY of material creation and in its individual forms, names, veils, cloaks, etc. We progressively awaken the wide and far-reaching Sun-like truth-consciousness of the Divine Seer-Sage in our Human vessel or kumbha, and progressively experience and know ourselves and all of creation as THAT ONE. Thus it comes to pass that humanity lives into the experience of “Heaven on Earth”, which Sri Aurobindo also referred to as “The Life Divine”.

“Agni thus takes his seat in us and, because it is through human activity that he is to fulfil the sacrifice, because the ascending movement is not completed, he takes it in the lap of his Mother in that rapturous middle world For the middle world, the Bhuvah, including all those states of existence in which the mind and the life are interblended as the double medium through which the Purusha acts and connects Heaven & Earth, is the proper centre of all human action….

“[Agni’s seat or birthplace] is on the fullness of the vitalised mind-consciousness…. There kindled, awakened & manifested in MAN, samidhá buddhah, samiddhah, he does his work for upward-climbing humanity.” – Sri Aurobindo, Hymns to the Mystic Fire, CWSA, Vol. 16, pp. 711-12 [The capitalized emphasis of MAN is added]

*

“Mind, life and body must…be capable of divinity; their form and working in that short period out of possibly only one cycle of the terrestrial evolution which Science reveals to us, need not represent all the potential workings of these three principles in the living body. They work as they do because they are by some means separated in consciousness from the divine Truth from which they proceed. Were this separation once abrogated by the expanding energy of the Divine in humanity, their present functioning might well be converted, would indeed naturally be  converted by a supreme evolution and progression into that purer working which they have in the Truth-consciousness.

“In that case not only would it be possible to manifest and maintain the divine consciousness in the human mind and body but, even, that divine consciousness might in the end, increasing its conquests, remould mind, life and body themselves into a more perfect image of its eternal Truth and realise not only in soul but in substance its kingdom of heaven upon earth. The first of these victories, the internal, has certainly been achieved in a greater or less degree by some, perhaps by many, upon earth; the other, the external, even if never more or less realised in past aeons as a first type for future cycles and still held in the subconscious memory of the earth-nature, may yet be intended as a coming victorious achievement of God in humanity. This earthly life need not be necessarily and for ever a wheel of half-joyous half-anguished effort; attainment may also be intended and the glory and joy of God made manifest upon earth.” – Sri Aurobindo, The Life Divine, pp. 172-73

*

“[The] limitation of consciousness and [the] awakening to the integrality of consciousness are also a process of self-manifestation, are a self-determination of the Spirit; even when contrary to the Truth in their appearances, the things of the limited consciousness have in their deeper sense and reality a divine significance; they too bring out a truth or a possibility of the Infinite. Of some such nature, as far as it can be expressed in mental formulas, would be the supramental cognition of things which sees the one Truth everywhere and would so arrange its account to us of our existence, its report of the secret of creation and the significance of the universe.” – Ibid, p. 330

In several hymns in Mandala Six of the Rig Veda, the seven-fold birth of the Vedic Sage-Son who divinizes and purifies humanity’s consciousness is referred to as divi pārye, translated by RTH Griffith as “Day of Trial”. Divi pārye could likewise be translated as “the decisive day” or “crucial day. It is the day or point in the Vedic Year when the Divine Sage-Son, via his own eternal law, conquers the demons, throws off the cover of night and the cover of ignorance and establishes the Divine Truth in humanity and in the world. The sevenfold Vedic apocalypse is depicted in Chapter 78 of the Quran as follows:

“About the Great Event. About which they disagree. Surely, they will find out. Most certainly, they will find out. [2-5]….  [Did We not] built above you seven strong ones?  And placed a blazing lamp? And brought down from the clouds pouring water? [12-14]... The Day of Sorting has been appointed. The Day when the Trumpet is blown, and you will come in droves. And the sky is opened up, and becomes gateways. And the mountains are set in motion, and become a mirage. [17-20]…. That is the Day of Reality. So whoever wills, let him take a way back to his Lord. We have warned you of a near punishment—the Day when a person will observe what his hands have produced, and the faithless will say, 'O, I wish I were dust.'” [39-40] (tr. Talal Itani)

I do not know if I have yet made a convincing case to readers, regardless in my view, Islamic ideology of the Great Event of God’s Judgement Day, by whatever name, along with the Islamic ideology of Al Aqsa, Muhammad’s Seventh Heaven, the Farthest Tree, God’s home in heaven, and his corresponding home on Earth, the Garden of Eternal Repose, are ALL—however unintentional—varied names, symbols, and conceptions of the ONE seven-fold birthplace, revelation, apocalypse, home, goal, seat, altar, meeting place, etc., of the Divine Sage-Son, Horse, or Prophet.

Understandably, humans have desperately and in many cases sincerely TRIED for ages to understand, prepare for, and participate in the long-promised divine apocalypse or purification of Mankind. But without the encryption key by which the Ancient Seer-Poets intentionally encrypted their prophecy, these efforts have not only been futile, they have led to disastrously fragmented misunderstandings and alienating dogmas, which in turn have led humanity to the brink of catastrophic global war. As foreseen and basically set-in-motion by the ancient Seer-Poets, all attempts of humanity to understand and manifest this divine prophecy OUTSIDE or SEPARATE from the true sense and context of the zodiacal Vedic Year, are futile and lead only to further confusion and division.

We must come to terms with the fact that our world’s ancient religious ideologies, mythologies, and symbols, did not simply arise out of NOWHERE. Perhaps most pressingly, we must come to see and understand that our problematic and clashing religious ideologies of a messianic apocalypse or of a world-purifying savior by whatever name, did not arise out of NOWHERE. They arose out of the heavily obscured zodiacal mythologies and symbols of ancient Seer-Poets, who understood that ONE DAY, in the Aquarian Age of Man/Kumbha, the solar or spherical gnosis of the Divine Seer-Sage-Son would be reborn or would re-emerge on Earth and catalyze the dissolution of humanity’s varied, obstructive, and divisive misunderstanding of these mythologies and symbols. Once the Vedic Sage-Son is born, providing humanity with the ancient and immortal key, law, and context of decryption, then and only then can we unseal, decrypt, understand and read the ancient Seer-Poets’ impeccably sealed and encrypted system of ancient gnosis.

As I have been attempting to make clear in my writings from 2016 onwards, this feat has already been accomplished via Sri Aurobindo’s lineage. It is not something left to be done. The spherical gnosis of the Vedic Sage-Son has been recovered and revealed as the unifying basis or seed realization of humanity’s birth and rise out of the dark night or dark womb of its binary-linear mental consciousness, and into the divine experience of the “Universal Brotherhood” or unified community of Mankind. With the seeding, birth, revelation, apocalypse, or awakening of the Vedic Seer-Sage in our own consciousness, we progressively become the Divine Sage-Seer, increasingly equipped to face and dissolve all obstacles to realizing God in ourselves, in each other and in our world.

[4] Sri Aurobindo defined vritti as “a functioning of the mental and moral qualities”. It can also mean “mode of life or conduct, course of action, behaviour, moral conduct, etc.” (Wisdom Library). Viparita means reversed, backwards, perverse, etc. Thus Viparita vrittis can be translated as distorted or backwards mental patterns or patterns of behavior.
[5] Other names of the first seven vesicae piscis of the Vedic Sacrifice that birth Agni to his seven-fold heaven include: seven lights, rays, sparks, currents, threads, reins, oblations (sacred offerings), libations, draughts of soma wine (mead, etc.), layers of fuel, hymns, voices, tones, names, meters, threads, communities, supports, devotions (=prayers), thoughts, glories, splendours, treasures, heads, hands, tongues, mouths, friends, castles, forts, germs, seeds, and elements. (tr. RTH Griffith)
[6] Just as there are many names assigned to this ONE place, there MANY numerical values associated with the measure of Agni’s birth and place, not just the numerical values of 7 and 10. The equivalent three-fold, five-fold, and seven-fold measure of this place is illustrated in the image below. The 5th vesica piscis below right also establishes the sixth point of the Satkona of the Zodiac, and thus the six-fold measure of Agni’s birth and birthplace. Sometimes these measures are combined as three and seven, five and seven, five and six, etc. There are other equivalent or combined numerical values connected to this place that I have yet to discuss or illustrate.

[7] The “Cow’s mysterious place” is translated from गोः अ॒पी॒च्य॑म् प॒दम् or gor apīcyam padaṃ via transliteration. This place, which could be translated as the Bull’s hidden or secret step, dwelling, or location, is equivalent to Goṣṭha and Goloka.
[8] The fleece is one of the many symbols of the purifying vessel, aka “filter” of the eternal sacred geometry and law of the vesica piscis, equivalent to the Kumbha. The radius (aka Sage, Son, Horse, etc.) of 0° Sagittarius is described as both flowing or moving through this fleece, filter, or sieve on its way to the Kumbha of Aquarius, and flowing or moving directly to the fleece, filter, or sieve (=Kumbha).
[9] In Atharvaveda 11.1.13, Goṣṭha  is a stall, pen, or vessel of waters, or in other words as a Kumbha or Water Jar. This makes sense only when we know the Vedic equivalence between the cows and the rivers (=waters, floods, streams, etc.)
[10] Tree is translated from vanaspati, sometimes associated with the Indian Fig Tree, or fruit-bearing tree.

[13] “Samudra”, Wikipedia: “The term [samudra] occurs 133 times in the Rigveda, referring to oceans (real, mythical or figurative) or large bodies of water as well as to large Soma vessels, e.g. RV 6.69.6 (trans. Griffith): Strengthened with sacred offerings, Indra-Vishnu, first eaters, served with worship and oblation, Fed with the holy oil, vouchsafe us riches; ye are the lake samudra, the vat that holds the Soma.” In addition to lake or vessel of waters, the English translations of Samudra in the Vedas include: “ocean”, “sea”, “or "gathering together of waters”. The Post-Vedic Vishnu Purana (Ch. 2.4) describe seven samudra (sapta samudra) as seven concentric or circular oceans surrounding seven concentric continents. Hindu tradition places Mount Meru at the center of these seven circular seas, oceans or rivers. (See: “Dvipa”, Wikipedia). A Sanskrit synonym of samudra is udadhi, translated as water-receptacle, cloud, river, sea, or ocean (Cologne Sanskrit Digital Lexicon).

“Winner of spoils in thousands, like a courser, with praise art thou exalted, Jatavedas…. O Holy One, and in the waters, Wherewith thou hast spread wide the air's mid-region-bright is that splendour, wavy, man-beholding. O Agni, to the sea [udadhi] of heaven thou goest: thou hast called hither Gods beheld in spirit. The waters, too, come hither….” – Rig Veda 3.22.3, tr. RTH Griffith
