Heliocentricity and a Return to Ancient Truths

A friend of mine recently passed along a fascinating article called, 'The Day the Earth Stood Still: Galileo and the secrets of Hermeticism' by Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince, authors of The Forbidden Universe - The Occult Origins of Science and the Search for the Mind of God.
I have yet to read the book, but I highly recommend the article. It is a good reminder not only of how wrong our collective agreements about our world and our existence can be, but also a reminder of how difficult it is to introduce truth into a field of ignorance. On top of that, it points to the ancient wisdom that still awaits restoration and new applications so that we might raise our collective game to new heights. I do not know if in the book Picknett and Prince have traced Hermeticism back to the ancient Vedic civilization which was seemingly well aware of the Sun's centrality and of the parallels between the macro and the microcosmos ('as above, so below'). If not, they have some more digging to do.
